Toyota 10 laps ahead of 3rd place! What a joke class
Has been like that on a number of occasions. I'm not sure if you have a short memory or are new to Le Mans (?) but 2001 Audi 1-2, 2nd Audi was 14 laps ahead of 3rd, 2002 10 laps, in 2004 it was Audi 1-2-3 and 1st was 18 laps up. It goes on on several more occasions since 2000 as well. Or do you mean LMP has generally been a joke for many years? It's been good the last few years as we've been spoilt with a few large manufacturers involved but it certainly hasn't always been that way. in 2010 it was also Audi 1-2-3, 4th placed car was 28 laps down on the lead Audi!!!Not wishing to sound condescending, just interested to hear your views in a bit more depth
Toyota deserve this.

Swapped back to the original shirt?!
Maybe he has lots of the same shirts, like Eurosport show lots of the same adverts? Not sure which is the worst advert....the one with the glasses for £6 is pretty crap, but the find your phone one with it's AWFUL jingle/tune gets the win I think; followed closed by crocodile garage doors which, don't you know.....the craftmanship...it's cracking!

Totally agree Ross. The gaps between the cars (and the classes) is just part of the race. Theres normally some close racing for position somewhere on track though. What's been missing in recent years is the edge of the seat feeling that anyone could have a problem at any time which turns it all on its head. All imho!
Certainly not new to Le Mans having attended a number of times - albeit last in 2009 - perhaps the whole LMP1 scene has diluted in my eyes compared to the past. That said Rebellion have done a sterling job in getting themselves where they are.

I've just gone through recordings the night on FF. Not a lot happened compared to previous years, unless I missed something.
I've been to some parties where FF would have come in handy, even without adverts springing up all the time.
Been a fascinating GT race, really quite exciting. five hours to go.

Anyone know why the live timing still shows some cars as "running" which have definitely retired?
e.g. the #4 ByKolles and #17 SMP are still shown as "RUN" even though they've definitely been out for hours now, the former smashed to bits, the latter both smashed to bits and slightly charred...
Not sure Dalla Lana ever got the #98 Aston back to pit, either.
It's the same on both the 71wytham timing page and the ACO one.
