Did anyone else notice the massive procession of caravans that seemed to be leaving Calais, on the way back on Monday? There was a constant stream of them for a good 20 minutes, a lot being towed by vans.

Any idea who/what it was?

Lol! To be fair, that was our first thought, but it was a LOT.

We saw them too, looked like the whole clan was on the move! I'm thinking they were on their way to pick up all the leftover tents and camping equipment left behind in Le mans biggrin

I would not want to mess with that lot!

Yeah, we seen them. Must have been on their annual pilgrimage.

Talking about taking tents, on Blue Sud two gents were down a tent on Sunday. They arrived back to the camp in their Red Boxster, to find their tent and belongings gone.

Saw them too, some had French plates, our best guess was they were going to tarmac the circuit at Le Mans biggrin

Really? There was extra security on too that stayed all Sunday night. I thought it was much better than previous years.

Yeah, sad really. I was walking back from the shower, the driver asked the closest tent did they know where their tent was and nobody had noticed it go.

Well in terms of security, we were never asked to show our tickets for re-entering the camp in the cars and they never checked the cars for alcohol (like with other camps) and on the Sunday the security guard just closed one side of the gate. When he was approached by the owner of said tent he just shrugged. Apparently the camp had, had several visits from the local gypsies, on foot, in cars and on bikes, scoping the site.
