Le Mans Classic Friday Service 06/07

The biennial historic Le Mans is back for 2018, as is PH - come and join us!

As you may know, PH is heading back to the legendary Le Mans Classic this year; once again, we plan on kicking off the weekend with a Friday Service at Chateau Rive Sarthe on July 6th. Those that attended in 2016 can hopefully confirm what a thoroughly lovely day and great start to the weekend it was.

The Chateau is the perfect venue for a car meet in the sun (hopefully), and with food on the go, stunning surroundings and lovely cars to gawp at, there's not really much else you can ask for, is there?! 2016 was a resounding success, albeit rather last minute - check out the thread here for the photos and low down of the days events, just in case you weren't persuaded already... The drive out to the Chateau is also apparently a fun one, and is only 30 minutes from the circuit, which should make the day all the more enjoyable. Anything has to be better than an autoroute, right?

The event is free and will be running from 11am until 5pm-ish; we have space for a maximum of 150 cars and, if you wanted, the Chateau has accomodation on site for those wanting to stay - see here for more info.

So get yourself signed up to the calendar now! We really don't think you'll want to pass up the Friday Service; it really kicks starts the weekend in a friendly, relaxed way.

Of course it is!

With the exception of a handful in front of the house (paying guests?) all the cars are parked round the back. The craic around the tables under the cedar trees out front, with a pint of shandy and a burger, is what it’s about!

11am to 5pm normally - people normally turn up for a few hours get some pictures of their car in front of the house and then move on

Or you can stick around for a few hours, chatting to like-minded people and making new friends. Choice is yours..........

For those of you travelling early, I've just sent an email to everyone with full details for Friday so please check your inboxes and let me know if you haven't received it.

I'll do another send on Wednesday before we head out for any late sign ups. See you all there! smile

In this instance you can just show us the pass on your phone, we're running it ourselves with no marshalls/security that'll turn you away without a printer pass! Look forward to seeing you all there on Friday.

Shame I missed this. I got stuck in Honfleur with a sticking starter motor. Managed to get back on the road eventually but only made it down for 18:00

Sorry, I too missed this. Caliper was sticking on, Eventually had to disconnect the handbrake cable and managed to get home without issue. Replacement caliper required now
