We’re en-route from Land’s End to John O’Groats in ‘Riley Blue’, our ’63 Riley One-Point-Five to raise funds for local hospitals.

Nothing remarkable in that, thousands have done it on foot and on two wheels or four many times before us. Our ‘LeJoG’ is unique as we’re using B roads as much as possible and we’re navigating using tulip diagrams - no major routes or satnavs for us.

Thursday, May 9th saw us leave Land’s End for our first night’s halt in Trowbridge - after first dealing with minor electrical problems (no indicators or horn). Day 2 was plain sailing through the Cotswolds and Midlands before a rest day at home in Chesterfield. Tomorrow, Sunday, we’ll be on the road again, heading for Haltwhistle, intending to reach Land's End on Wednesday.

Should you feel inclined to support us with a donation, we would be very grateful. thumbup

Our thanks to PistonHeads for allowing us to write about our ‘LeJoG via B-roads’ trip.

Well done, I've also read you posts on the oldclassiccar forum. I'd be interested in your route.
