Another Newbie!!!
How is this done? Is it in front of the grandstand or what??? Bouncing off the walls ever so slightly!
It'll be obvious when you get there, but yes, it is opposite the pits and in front of the grandstands.
IMHO - Your first year should be watched from here, you will have goosebumps as they nail it on the rolling first lap......
And you'll have more than goosebumps when the Hawaiian Tropic girls walk past!
It important to claim your spot early though to get the best view - in front of the ACO or Michelin stands are the best places to be.

Trackside,
We seem to be crossing paths rather a lot at the moment: we do Arnage each year for the night stint. Got there about 3am last year with seats, sleepbags and bottle of single malt: ever so refined !!
Hello nutskie..
As the French race is before the one in Kent, maybe we'll meet up at Arnage! Let's face it, there weren't too many folks left at 3-4am last year! I'll bring some glasses...
2003 i think we hit the right note by watching the start/end from arnage... no where near as busy as trying to watch from near the start/finish line...
i think you "miss" a bit of the atmosphere at the end but none at the begining, and we were so deep in the crowd we never saw anything when we were opposite the start/finish line in '02 anyway...
esses is a good place to watch the start
it is possible to walk from mulsanne to arnage... its a long way though and not signposted but you simply walk from arnage take the first left and follow the road along
we drove it last time and it was signposted for part the journey, then the signs stopped and we ended up going the wrong way down a one way street as it was the only way we could find to get to mulsanne...
porsche curves at night is very good, as is start/finish line... watching a night pitstop reflecting in the hospitality sweets is cool...
i've never missed grandstand seats but thought it was odd they wouldn't let us sit in them at 3am when no one else was there... however, you can access the grandstands without tickets during qualifying...
