...a weekend at the Nurburgring 24hr. Ship out tomorrow at 7am from Dover and should get there around the time the 24 starts.

Last minute booking and I managed to get a hotel booking next to the Adenau "gate". Room for 1 night was a bit pricey but the return ferry came in at £39 lolz. Mate of mine found out that I was going and he has just booked the same ferry and managed to get a hotel not far from me, which is a good thing because he's been there before. This is my first visit.

Call it post LM "treatment" lolz!

I was going to fly over as found a dirt cheap flight and hire a car to sleep in but saving the pennies as I'm there in just over 2 weeks anyway and I can watch it on the TV lol

I thought the 24hr was in May?? This is bad news for me, means sacrificing a Le Mans if I ever watch it, no way I'd get a pass for both with 2 kids at home.
Lucky bd! Enjoy

May would be better, could possibly get away with it one year.
Is it on tv we can access from the UK do you know?

I’m here now and it’s pretty awesome. Not as loud as LM and a different vibe. I can see the track from my hotel window (see pic). We’ve been to various parts of the track already. Me and my mate are gonna grab a few hours kip and then head back out again.

What sort of money are you paying for the hotel?

Can't quite justify the N24 so I'm rewatching Truth in 24 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FFwoxM1MiBw&t=...
and the Porsche documentary on their return https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w_QazJD9nyI

Well I've been watching it and im hooked.
I want to go to that one, probably in 3 yrs time when I've got a clear slot.

Im thinking a van and a scooter in the back because there appears to be a lot of tracks alongside the circuit

My view of the race:

Anyone know where the travel destinations site is relation to the Mullenbach site? There is no map showing it’s location and I would like to do this properly so thought about private camping.

Might do this next year.
