Our family holiday takes us close to LeMans this year, what is there to do in town when you’re not three sheets to the wind?
When’s the market on?
Anything interesting for kids?
Doubt they’d be interested in the circuit museum but any suggestions would be most welcome.

We went to the Moto 24 which only happens in the Bugatti circuit, outside of the stadium life goes on as normal

I took my mates on the Le Mans roads - it was cool because they were just roads. The stretch from Mulsanne corner to Indianapolis was completely accessible as a public road, but looks like a full blown race track.

That was one thing worth going to Le Mans for besides a race.

The old town is nice to explore. They have la Nuit de la chimeres on at the moment which is basically large animated projections on the cathedral and other buildings. Well worth checking out.

Big market day is Sunday in front of the cathedral.
Not having kids what sort of stuff do they want?
Close by there’s a zoo, amusement park, lots of sports facilities, lots of areas with marked footpaths.
The old city and roman walls are good if history is your thing.
Admittedly it’s not a holiday destination but there is lots in the area.

The museum was very busy last Friday.

The BMW Art car exhibition this year has raised it up to a new level.
