Yep. Especially with the traditional date just around the corner now.

I don’t really want to get too excited about sept either as skeptical about it taking place still.

Had so much good stuff planned to change up the weekend a bit.

Hopefully 2021 will be able to go ahead without disruption.

France it seems won't be getting a quarantine exemption for travellers after all. September must be optimistic the way things stand at present

Excellent. I need to find a hot and dusty park with a distinctive odour of piss to watch it in.

I will make sure I drink too much the night before and will tell the missus i forgot to charge the phone. Be just like being there

And a bog which stinks of consumed red sausage when it has come out the other end.

First indication from Neveu that they want to run the ELMS Paul Ricard race and WEC Spa race behind closed doors on the original dates (barking mad) and even a mention of the possibility of running the 24 behind closed doors (utterly mind bendingly bonkers), but it's pretty obvious he is setting up the relevant Governments to blame when/if things don't happen.

Running the 24 behind closed doors would be financial suicide for the ACO.

E-racing does absolutely nothing for me, it's one of those things I'm sure is great to do, but I've no interest in watching other people do, looks like it'll be a long weekend looking through dvds of old races

Must admit I watched a virtual F1 race a few weekends ago. Not in a hurry to repeat the experience.

Yep no interest in e racing here either, however some of our usual le mans people who meet up in the village at 12.00 on the Saturday of the race our having a zoom meeting at the same time on the date we usually all meet up, much better than watching e racing for sure, and most of the people only meet up at the usual car races so it will be good do something as it looks unlikely we will meet up in person this year.

I think the ACO has secretly acknowledged that the LM 24 can't be held without spectators.... it would be impossible to close the place down without an impossible security prescence... and that would in itself cost mega €€€€€€

The Gendarmerie used to provide security, and would link arms to clear the grid. For the honour of France they'll come back

Not that I buy the idea that it's impossible to secure the full course and run without spectators, but I wonder what the licensed (car) capacity of the Bugatti Circuit is? That'd be a lot easier to do.

Im struggling to find people willing to urinate in public near to where me and my imaginary friends are going to be sitting. However on a positive note I've persuaded the missus to cook me a fairly sub-substandard burger and pop in return for me giving her 20 Quid.

Will she also provide you with larger served in plastic mugs for eye watering amounts of money, and charging an extra £1 returnable deposit for the of said mug, you could then surprise her with a huge pile of said mugs (i must have 20 at least) and demand £1 for each.

Im trying guys, but its a struggle. I do appear at least to have 10 Le Mans cups so the missus better get her hands in her pocket.

Still trying to find a French penis that can poke through the fence to piss outside my tent so I can re-live my first and last Tetre Rouge camping experience.

Extract from BBC news tonight:

"Speaking at Sunday's Downing Street briefing, he said the clinical trial for a Covid-19 vaccine at the University of Oxford was progressing well and announced £93m to speed up a new vaccine research lab.

The government has already invested £47m in the Oxford vaccine and Mr Sharma committed to a further £84m of new funding.

He added that pharmaceutical firm AstraZeneca had finalised a "global licensing agreement" with Oxford and the government.

It means if the trial is successful, 30 million doses will be available for the UK by this September, as part of a 100 million-dose agreement.

Mr Sharma said this would put the UK at the front of the queue for getting the vaccine."

Hopefully this is our only year of cancelled racing

The timings certainly make a November race a possibility.
