WRT #7 I think I heard RLM say that it has some floor damage that would take too long to repair.

Did it have an 'off' overnight to have caused that - only heard it had a prob w/ brakes & then turbo.

No. 7 didn't have an off, it just needed a replacement exhaust manifold and turbo.

Bet the mechanics had thick gloves on to change them!

It is so frustrating. Yes, I'm watching the race on TV like the rest of you, but if I open the window I can hear the cars on the circuit. But no way (and I've tried) to get any visual. Security is tighter than usual.

No 7 floor damage was due to running over debris.

That sounds like exciting torture!

Debris from the #89 Porsche front puncture? There was nothing left of the front corner bodywork when that came in.

Sorry I don't know where the debris came from.

Short time ago there was a race control message about #1 & #3 under investigation for their pit stop. Anyone have any more info on this?

No earlier we were getting NFA notifications when teams were found not guilty, that seems to have stopped

Pretty impressive stint by Di Resta there, consistently close to fastest lap for the car.

Not really. They want 2nd and 3rd rather than broken cars. It’s a shame to stop the battle but it’s understandable.

No, it's not. The car (that was at the time of my post) in third is their full WEC entry. The car in second was only for LM24. As it turns out, they switched in the pitstops.

Well good morning, and what a beautiful day it is too. I stayed up far too late last night and have just rolled out of bed to pop myself back in the groove I carved into the sofa last night. I've got the RLM phone app on, Eurosport pictures and eggs on the go. Rude not to have a bit of fizz in the orange isn't it? Do wish I was over there but I figured out it has been 4 years since I was last there puzzlingly, so I have no right to complain. A day to squeeze the most out of the weather before things get rather grey and grim once again. I even managed to get the big doors open.

I wonder if any of you over there managed to see cars at full pelt on Mulsanne, or has security made that impossible?

Yes the commentators mentioned that so you’d figure they’d swap them later. Easier that I guess than having them race the cars into the ground and break them
