I guess the real question is - do I need to buy ACO membership :-)
Well for 60 euro you get 40% off two general admission tickets for this years race. However presumably they will be selling tickets for next years race in November so presumably you'll get 40% off them too. An ideal time to join!Breaking news
Paris is among 16 regions of France facing new lockdowns from midnight tomorrow, the country's prime minister Jean Castex has announced.

cannot seem to find any of the 16 regions though.

Hopefully Dr Tildesley is wrong and we will be able to travel to France! https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-56467813

I heard that Calais and Normandie were caught, and France will finish vaccinating in 2023

Can't see the UK government allowing millions of its people to travel abroad this summer to countries with poor vaccination rates, not to mention the issue of new variants being spread around. Looks like another year in front of the telly.
+1I have tickets from last year which look like they'll be honored for 2022. Can't see us being allowed to cross the Channel anytime soon....

Let us express the tardiness of vaccinations in another understandable way. In Wiltshire, 205,000 have had the first jab. In the Sarthe, twice the size of Wiltshire, 40,000 have been vaccinated. The population of Wiltshire is a tad short of 500,000, the Sarthe 600,000. In the last week, 3,000 doses have been injected. Now with a population of 600,000 that means we will take another 200 weeks to give everyone the first jab. Even 2024 is in doubt at this rate. I suggest you spend your £5,000 on a new Meccano set.

The updates from Europe certainly aren’t positive are they. I was tipping towards 50/50 chance a couple of weeks ago, but it’s pretty negative again, down to 25% chance of spectators I’d say.
I can’t see what is going to change dramatically before they have to make a call on spectators.
Do you bother going through travel planning, accommodation booking, buying tickets and getting hopes up or just write it off now and look forward to coming back when there is something approaching normal.
Big Sigh!

I think the delays in giving the answer re spectators and the timing if the race in August will have out many off already, family holidays etc. As such I can’t see my normal lot all coming if spectators are allowed. However, should travel be allowed and the race closed to spectators then a raid is definitely on for a fewI can’t see what is going to change dramatically before they have to make a call on spectators.
