Indeed! I would normally arrive on the Sunday!

Why would they? Earlier start keeps the coins coming in…

I'm not sure us early arrivals put more into the ACO coffers than if we arrived later, spend plenty more in the local area, I worry they'll see a cost saving in stewarding.
I'm a Sunday man too, love the first part of the week, that's the holiday.

Keeping the test day on the Sunday before the race is surely here to stay, though, which should help

So last year I returned half our tickets when they announced the date change. They then switched the remainder onto one credit note which they cancelled the spectators. Am I correct in assuming then that this one note will be used to rebook all our tickets and parking tickets for this year without me having to do anything? I’ve got ACO membership so am all prepared for getting stuff booked, but hope to receive an email before this date confirming the booking. Does this sound right?

Just looking at the email and in the footnotes at the end of the email it says; "Advantage valid for two tickets upon valid ACO membership on Thursday 17 June 10.00 am CEST."

I'm an ACO member and membership with be valid till August but is that to say, you can only buy two tickets max this year? I needed 5 tickets so I'm reading that as it's not going to be possible this year.

That’s how I read it, the ACO ticket perk is reduced. But if the credit note for last year is applied to this years booking all should be well. If not I’ll just get 2 ACO and then wait for general sale.

If you aren't holding a credit note from last year, then yes it does read that way. You'd have to get two during the ACO member early sale, then 3 more once they go on general release.

Details of the French Covid app => https://www.gouvernement.fr/pass-sanitaire-toutes-...

I have tried scanning a UK QR code with both their 'verification' app and the 'upload your certificate' on the main app and it doesn't recognise it.

Search for 'Tous Anti Covid' on the app store(s).

I suspect we're going to need the French government to say "oui" to the NHS app for this to work for us Brits...

If a few thousand brits arrive at the campsite, who has the problem...

Us or ACO?

Hopefully the authorities have discussed the travel portion of the app...

Reading the reviews on the app, it doens't seem to work for anyone in France either...

ACO said:
If you are holding a 2020 voucher, your order will be processed automatically before tickets go on sale based on your 2020 voucher and adapted to the 2021 organisation.

If you have a voucher from the 2020 24 Hours of Le Mans but can’t make it this year, simply fill in the refund application here.
Are vouchers and credit notes the same thing?

Assuming they are the same... could you let the ACO process your voucher to give you 2021 tickets - and then decide in say early August that actually you would prefer a refund - or is that going to be too late and will result in a sharp non and a gallic shrug?

I would say if you get tickets from your voucher, the only refund would come if the event goes behind closed doors again or if you managed to ell your tickets on. No refund from ACO if you change your mind.

Which makes sense and seems reasonable.

Perhaps the question to the ACO is what's the window for a refund to be processed. Before the conversion is done next week? Before the end of June?

On a bright note the newspaper today has an article stating that the number of Covid cases is falling and that unless things change lockdown will end on June 30th.

We're contemplating organising a weekend camping event in the UK to create the atmosphere similar to our private campsite on Bleu Nord (minus the techno rave music), where you'll be able to come and stay and watch the race. I've set up a poll to gauge interest if people could let us know, thanks! https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...
