Not much you can do with an exiwting lmp2 and some panels.
Mazda did with the multimatic, but the rest? The acura (oreca 07 with an extra slat), neeeeesan (ligier with an extra scoop) and the caddy (dallara with different lights) show how much easier it is to do very little and rwce the car as it was designed to perform, rather than to look.
Wouod i prefer all "proper" hyoercars? In theory yes, but that ruleset had 2 entrants. Imo 10 factory cars >>>> 4 prettier cars. Also, at least 4 are awesome sounding v8's (maybe more i've not herd em all yet)...

I would also say the front ends are a little uninspiring, I hope the evolve over time, the Porsche and Ferrari look remarkably similar lights wise, I guess it must be regs.
But nice that they have gone different ways for power, different sounds are always a good thing and I do quite like the sound of a turbo 6 cylinder, just not modern F1 which sounds tame and awful

Well they aren't existing LMP2s - LMDh cars are meant to be based on the 'next gen.' LMP2 chassis...which aren't due to be intoduced until 2025, so I'm not sure quite how they're managing that! Some Gump said:

We have Peugeot joining with a proper, exciting looking Hypercar - but Ferrari, who are also meant to be Hypercar seem to have given us one that looks like an LMDh.The Peugeot's looking to be the most interesting of the lot at the moment - especially if they can repeat the act of taking pole...then sliding it into the gravel in front of my at Dunlop on lap 1 while the Audi(?) slips past into the lead. Always fun when the whole grandstand goes from exceited French making al the noise to everyone else going "Aaaaaahhhh!!!!"
Not whether all these will get to Le Mans in 2023 or onwards, but things are looking good!
