They’ve been showing full WEC races this season rather than just bits of them, and trailing the 24 so I’m sure they’ll have full coverage, with the WEC TV commentary too, instead of the dreadful Eurosport commentary. Still worth paying for the WEC app to avoid adverts and infomercials IMO though

That's certainly the name and price of what I signed up for to watch the Spa WEC race via Amazon Prime. That got you the extra Eurosport no-adverts content for the race, so hopefully would be the same for Le Mans.
Agreed. It seems to be a French obsession, to laud everything USA. Why have LeBron James as starter of the 100th anniversary race? What does he mean to most European motorsport fans? The Garage56 entry has no opposition and when NASCAR ran a couple of cars many years ago, I simply regarded it as a bit of gimmick and didn't take much notice.
But to clarify, that is not the Eurosport commentary team. Eurosport are taking WEC's international feed on Wednesday and Thursday and then from one to five on Sunday morning (I think). This comprises the regular commentary trio of Martin Haven, Anthony Davidson and Graham Goodwin (of Daily Sports Car) and Louise Beckett in the pits, plus a second team including Peter Dumbreck and I'm not sure who else.
Eurosport start their own coverage on race day, meaning their own commentary team of celebrated American/Aussie expert Leigh Diffey and Calvin Fish, former Audi tactician Leena Gade, experienced motor sport commentator Ben Constanduros, formula expert Alex Jacques, ex-LMP2 competitor Alex Brundle etc are 'dropped in it', straight into the race, lap one, with no warm-up to sharpen their identification skills. They are doing the full 24hrs, minus the hours detailed above.

It’s never been the case in the past as far as I can recall
I could understand that team for the US coverage, as a lot of fans there would be used to Diffy and Fish, but they’ve never been used for UK coverage of LM or other WEC races
Yes Freedman, I am sure about this as Ben Constanduros is my son! Eurosport coverage is going out on Trend TV in the States; Diffey is a former colleague of Eurosport's producer who recognises Diffey's status in the USA. I'm sure the whole team is fully aware of their need to get up to speed rapidly.
