I went last year with 200 euros in cash and came back with the same. All retailers have card readers, even the burger vans.

I’d be interested to know whether you think there is any need to take cash to Le Mans or are all the retailers, restaurants and fuel stations card or contactless payment only?
Everywhere in France takes cards - can't be sure of googlepay etc as I don't use.
The exceptions being the small kiosks/vendors, e.g. ice-cream "bikes" behind the grandstands and newspaper/poster guys. Then again this being France and the ACO, anything could happen this year! Indeed remember last year very few ice-creams behind the stands: it seemed the ACO decided it was going to be too hot for them ...

ps - actually should also be mentioned in the guide that this thread is all about - there is at least 1 cash point in the Village. Never used it myself, don't know if/what the charges are, but have noticed long queues at it on Sat afternoon so some folk feel the urge for cash!

Dukla2000 - next time I do an update to the guide I'll include Last Years Cash Points - I've even got a pic of the one in the Village next to the Bogs on left hand side facing the paddock.

I agree, the French use even less cash than we do.

Where as the Police on the Autoroutes only seem to take cash, how strange.

CBW - St Saturnin villagers/volunteer organise pretty good food stall with loads of seating and there’s a bar there too. All cash only last year.

Stalls inside hall there - some took cash

Depends where you live I guess. I’ve not used cash for more than 10 years now.

Anyone know if entrance to the 100 years of winning cars exhibition is included in the GA ticket ? It looks like it's a separate display to the museum.

I'd put money on it being separate. You can't acccess the museum without entering the circuit during Le Mans (unlike when its not on and the circuit returns to being a normal road) so the fact they even mentioned a price for days covered by the GA ticket tells me they've made a separate event in addition to the museum.

86 cars including 65 winners and 21 other striking Le Mans cars opens 1 June till after end of Classic so tickets for non GA holders and all outside of min LM and Classic times (even members then)

Must be big marquee - if it’s airport side then getting most of them out and back for parades will take some organising. Hopefully a good few will make it to Goodwood in July after Classic. Big Marquee where the Classic auction site is better for security- hope they don’t lose big screen opposite T23 for access from Bugatti circuit there.

Your map/description for Ruaudin is wrong - the display (at least for the last few years) is in the town centre. Street parking is minimal, main parking area is a field on the western bypass (D140TER, Ave Maurice Gennessel) then follow the crowds.

A little annoying about moving the drivers parade earlier - We traditionally go to the CBW between 11 and 2 ish then back to the Mill , for a bit and into town for the parade. Atmosphere in city is brilliant and it naturally falls in to some grub and lots and lots of drinks until the early hours . Just have to start the drinking a bit earlier smile

Drivers parade is at the same time at the pitwalk. Very strange. Usually prefer to do the pitwalk in the morning and head into Le Mans town for the afternoon/evening.

Pleasure Ben

New Additions & Corrections - thanks Dukia 2000 - hope I've got the Ruaudin location correct.

Also added Cashpoints - got the two in the Village by the Bogs but am awaiting (as everyone else is) for the 2023 Circuit Plan from the ACO - last year Cash Machines were shown as a EURO SIGN on a green background.

Also new Map at the start of the Where to Watch pages

Enjoy
