No bikes allowed!

Seems Le Man's has gone down the Silverstone route of banning cycles in the circuit. Unlike Silverstone though they haven't provided anywhere to officially park them though. Told us where we couldn't leave them!

And for getting out to Indianapolis/arnage. Plenty of bike parking outside the gates. This is my first time since Covid, but prior to that our bikes were allowed in at the entrance from Beausejour, but parked up before going through the tunnel. Wait and see this time.

With a 300,000 sell out it would be a bit silly to try taking a bike into the track this year - you would just end up pushing it everywhere.

I'm planning to go for 2024 but physically really struggle with the walking due to cerebral palsy. I now have an electric tricycle that i was planning to take to help me get around, but it seems this might be a waste of time too

Blue Badge?
OH has one, pretty sure when we ordered tickets last year(2?) we had to attach a pic of Badge as proof?
We parked inside circuit behind grandstands but I think now the parking is opposite main entrance and they shuttle users across to entrance.

Yes have a blue badge and have had access to the rear of the grandstands for parking in previous years, but on race day / night, getting anywhere by car was a nightmare, let alone trying to get into the circuit and parked behind the grandstands. Impossible, especially when trying to drive through hoards of people.

Not something i'd want to try again I don't think!

More top ACO logical decision making, the museum is open, the gate to it and the main gates are closed, the nice girl on the gate said she could let me out to go to the museum but wasn’t authorised to let me back in again

It says bikes are allowed for the circuit walk. There doesn't yet appear to be any issues with bikes. But as someone has mentioned come race weekend, why even try with a bike until early hrs.

Maybe I wasn't clear but I am here now and we have been refused entry with bikes - and it's certainly not crowded at the moment.

Also, getting in and out of he campsite is a complete nightmare (Basejour) . We want to see your tickets on the way out, oh not campsite ticket, race ticket. Coming in - no we don't ne your ticket. Oh , sometimes we do sometime we don't. Complete farce!

Yea sorry missed that. I guess it could depend on who is on your gate and how lucky you are. The bloke on the gate from the entrance from Houx yesterday didn't check anything like they have in the past. Didn't check our bags or anything. But we didn't have bikes to be fair. Ive seen a fare few bikes in the circuit that appear to be none team members, but tricky to say.

But it does clearly state that the circuit is open for bikes and rollerblades etc for the track walk on Friday.

Sounds normal...

Last year they decided to start checking race tickets on entry into BSJ. Unfortunately, mine was in the caravan inside BSJ. After a brief stand off where I blocked one of the three lanes they decided I could go in..

That's the actual track not the spectator area though?

Note the nice get-out that everything is at the sole discretion of the security staff on duty, and also on that page:

"There will be several checks at the Gate: visual inspection of coats, jackets and bags, scanning with a metal detector, and body searches. To speed up the procedures, we ask you to open your bag ready for inspection, and then open your jacket.

Also keep your ticket handy and present some form of ID."
