That is quite specific!
I bought a plate for my wife and found mine on the DVLA site. And yes, I have a sticker on the back of the car. Do I feel sad? Not a bit. I'd rather have something unique than all the stickers that appear on cars each June. And I've been offered a great deal more for it than I paid....

Umm, it's not about feeling sad. And it is no more unique than any other vehicle registration out there.

It's about wanting something that you think is unique and has some meaning, whether it's LM24HRS, your deceased spouse's initials or something else that has some relevance to you.And it is no more unique than any other vehicle registration out there.
I think cars with blacked out windows, orange-film windscreens, stupidly-lowered, multi-colour body panels (as a style rather than lack of cash) egregious.
Hopefully that plate has been bought by someone who is a racing fan and not some chancer who plans to sell it for a profit.

You can still get LM24 BOP - assume its not very popular! or LM24 PUG if you believe in miracles

I had several French people admire my plate over the last couple of years but ultimately it doesn't really matter if anyone else likes it or recognises it. It works for me.
