Maison Blanche pitch sizes

How flexible are the pitch sizes for MB. I've got single a pitch for 2 people booked via the TVRCC. I have a few friends who've expressed and interest, hence possibly 1 more tent and car (2-3 man tent).

Thoughts?

Basically you get tape, and cordon off an area to park. no rules on pitch size ... but people like to corner off a section and camp within its boundaries. When it gets full though people pitch and park almostr anywhere.

Think you might have problems getting the other car onto the campsite aswell if it's not got a camping pitch permit stuck to the window, but it can be done

Cheers Raceboy, is it relatively easy to get hold of extra permits?, I don't see them being that expensive

I would imagine the usual race ticket sellers, Page & Moy, MRI, etc, may have a few left but usually they want to sell them as part of a tour package, another source of tickets is ebay but they usually fetch a premium over list price, the other way is to 'share' the campsite pass, which is doable aslong as you don't both want to leave (well return really if you see what I mean) the campsite by car at the same time

Depending upon how diligent your camp site "guard" is he/she may insist on the camping pass being stuck on the windscreen, and it's designed so that it rips if you try and remove it. Some of them don't mind if you just wave it at them. If you've got motorbikes then you can get away with it as it's not really practical to stick it anywhere.

the best dodge is to stick the camping pass to the windscreen with a few little bits of selotape, so it looks like its properly stuck, then when inside place hood cover over windscreen and stick pass to the next car..

you can also colour photocopy the pass before you go. there is little in the way of security on them. last year I peeled back only the very corners of the pass.. within 2 days it had fallen off, and was just pressed against the screen by the passenger sun visor noone questioned us.

, just spoke to page and moy about entrance tickets (£35 a pop), plus parking permits. No permits but they charge £40 booking fee
