Excellent in that case you should be there around the same time as me, I am leaving at around 1, but have to go via London to pick up Potter

Patrick, I presume your heading straight for Le Mans (after the complusery fuel stop at the petrol station just off the ferry port) are you going 'direct' or a 'scenic' route? As you've got the Sat-Nav I'm guessing your the man to follow

There will be plenty of us in the convoy - as we have black cat racing etc in tow aswell + 1 other vehicle with sat nav so we will work out who's following who in the bar / on ferry etc, then it will all go out of the window the moment we get on froggy soil

EGO SNOT (white Celica (or Sillycar)) is back on the road and just in time!
Just passed MOT, speed sensitive steering fixed and nice and tight, New speedo cable, back brakes fitted.
All thats left to do is oil/filter/plug change, fit a new dist cap and put it on a ferry.
Oh, nearly forgot to say...and add half a dozen PH stickers!

yes i'm cutting it a little fine on the sticker front, i currently only have one (pistonheads that is) sticker on the car, 3 waiting for me but they're currently in chester and i won't be able to apply them until around 10pm tonight at the earliest when my brother gets here...

which means they'll have to be applied in the dark tonight or on the ferry tommorrow!!!

Don't leave this too late - i did mine last night, in between downpurs of rain. Finished at 1030pm in the dark, barely able to see what i was doing - arrgh the stress of checking the damn thing was straight!!

It was so much easier when putting them on someone elses car... :sigh:

Thankfully they are straight and don't look half bad in the cold light of day - even if i do say so myself!

With a job like that I would have thought you could get someone else to do the stickers for you!

Thanks for the advice. The weathers not looking too good here today (near Portsmouth) so looks like I'll be sticking them on down at the local BP!
Lets hoped they are not gonna be as pissed as I am!

Soak them in a bucket of hot water with lots of fairy liquid in, this helps you slide the stickers in place without them sticking to the car. Once you have them in place use a cloth to squeeze the water out from behind, leave to dry and then (carefully!) peel off the backing stuff. Keep checking they are straight.

Doing it on a wet car helped me postion the stickers, but the rain continuing after they were on meant i couldn't dry behind the sticker with a cloth to make them stick - grr!

i think i may have remembered what i've forgotten to do already... there's been a nagging "itch" at the back of my head 'cos i think i've forgotten to pack something...

hopefully it was the digi video camera, packed now... tapes all wound back to the begining and the (lone, unfortuantly) battery is on charge...

hopefully there's nothing else i've forgotten!!!
