a) I reckon we should meet Between Indy adn Arnage corners at 10am and then convoy down the mulsanne at 11am. Big grassy area between these corners for plenty of parking. We can also then stop at the sports shop with the big carpark half way down the Mulsanne afterwards.
b)I have saved it as a bookmark and will keep raising the issue to remind us all!
c)I love the smell of burning rubber in the morning! (At least it helps to get rid of the smell of all the stale spilt beer!)

a) So what was the final decision? 10am? Where?
b) Someone should kick this to the top of the list a week or so before Le Mans so that we all remember.
c) Just changed my tires this past weekend... I'll have new rubber to burn for 2004!

Maybe i could get a mobile number or 2 as we will arrive later this year as we thought it would be nice to spend Thur night in one of those places with the pointy roofs and bubbly bath tubs before we rough it in our tent!(the only way to do Le Mans as Hotels are for whimps......I hope its dry or i might regret i said that!)A list of cars going would also be handy so I can spot you all.

Camping by the track is the ONLY way to do Le Mans!
Without that it just wouldnt be the same.

You are right that anyone that does differently is a girls blouse.

(Ask me when Im there if Id like a hotel room and I'll give you a completly different answer!)

I have requested an event in the calendar for this so we can guage the numbers.
Hopefully there will be a fair few of us.
150+ PHers were at Le Mans last year and we probably all stumbled past one another with out realising it at some point!
Will be good to have a proper sober meeting and convoy and then maybe meet up again in the evening and get stupidly drunk!

If anyone wants a Convoy destination, then there are worse places to go on a Friday than La Chartre-sur-Le Loir, it's about 45mins south-east of Le Mans. A small village with a hotel in the main square where the teams used to stay in the fifties and sixties, the square is full of decent motors. There are several bars in the square too.

Mention of it on the following site:

Perhaps after a meet between Indy and Arnage and the convoy down the Mulsanne the ones that are interested could then go for a blat to La Chartre-sur-Le Loir for lunch.
Le Mans just gets better and better.

Yes, it is our traditional lunch stop after Friady morning at Indianapolis/ Arnage/ Mulsanne.... always a good selection of very nice cars parked on the square.

I usually give you a toot when I drive passed!
We drive down on the Friday but this year will be coming down on Thursday instead.

Dusty, is the calendar entry happening ?

I'm travelling down with 17 other Tivs, so doubtless a number of us would be interested in the proposed meet.

If you drive past Chartres-s-Loire on the way from blighty then you are lost as it's to the south of Le Mans... or have I got the wrong end of le stick?

D'oh!

Well there is a another nice little village square that we go through on the way down and there is always a selection of exotica (exotica of your category!) parked out the front of a pub.
I assumed this was one and the same place. As usual, assume made an ass out of u and me. (well, just me really!)

Cuzza! See you on sunday at the PH southern meet to catch up with details (you had better bring the Elise, rain or shine!).

N17TVR - Not sure if its in the calendar yet. I requested it but its at Teds discreation whether it goes in or not. We are 23 cars strong but I dont expect all of my group to make it to the meet!

I'll give it a couple of days and then give Ted a nudge to put it in the calendar.

I really think an official PH meet at Le Mans should happen.
If we are all donning PH stickers imagine how good that will be for advertising when we convoy down mulsanne!
