Leaving from Hampshire too.

You lot, how about bringing the better half with you. I took Ali to some of the British GT races (and the FIA GTs) last year and she loved it.
She likes the sound (very useful ).

I assumed others were bringing their other halves to the Qualifying too.

There are 2 couples in our Mid Essex group, but I'll be going on my own this time, as Mel doesn't get a huge amount of holiday, and can't spare a day off.

I may just have to use the spare seat to bring back a few bottles of something to cheer her up!

Come on then, where are we staying? I found what looks like a decent place in Le Mans town centre. Let me know if you're interested, so I can sort out a collective booking.

Steve,

I was only able to find rooms at the IBIS hotel on Rue Clement Marot, so have booked the Mid Essex lot into here. Where are you guys staying?

They had rooms available a few days ago when I booked, so hopefully you'll be OK.

DustyC, me and the Girlfriend are going. Im currently researching prices to see if its gonna be cheaper to go the Dover route, or from portsmouth.
Im also in Hampshire.

Updated with crosing prices...
Its definatly cheaper to drive to Dover and then drive down from there.
P&O Portsmouth quote £270 for the cheapest crossing.

It works out £95 for the hoverspeed

Remeber to add the additonal mileage costs to go East to dover and then back west towards Le Mans again though.

Unfortunately I cant commit to LM yet.
Far too much going on. If I get the car bit sorted and perhaps some other bits then I will go. If not then Im just gonna have to take Ali to the qualifying next year instead.

Did the extra cost for the travelling to Dover etc .. in The Golf Diesel its about £5 !!!

unfortunatly we cannot get a dogsitter for that weekend, so were having to cancel. Were off to Le Mans for the Race though.

£5 in the Golf? I wasnt intending on lunch costs as well!

When I mentioned considering the costs I was think more along the lines of a 20MPG gas gussler. Wouldnt be taking the Golf.

Defo going to the big race again though.
40 of us leaving on the Thursday morning from Portsmouth on the seacat.

Before I cancel it, I have a room in the F1 at Arnage for Sat and Sun of Pre-qualifying if anyone fancies it. I promise the Mon-keh will be kept on a short lead.

Karen.
