Will probably be the only French TVR driver there...! I live in Le Mans, and would be happy to meet some of you guys...!!

You would be made more than welcome should you drive up to Calais and meet our group of 17 Tivs off the ferry and then act as mediator (if the need arises) with the fine upstanding French police force.

In return, you can stay in a tent in Houx and dine for free on my brother in laws gourmet bar-b-q food....

Oooops...

Sorry for my poor english ! Still, my comments are valid for the other people coming to le Mans, and looking for a place to stay...

Having said that, even though living in Le Mans, Le Mans / SPA Francorchamps or le Mans/Monte Carlo can be fun...!

It's quite hard to find other TVR owners to team up...sic...

I'm afraid there's not much to discuss with our cops (and it has nothing to do with the language !). I'd love though to see the face of some of them, with 17 louds Tivs passing by...

One advice : be very careful with drink and drive...The law has now changed (and is now inforced !), and cops will show no mercy...

Dont worry about that, these forums are the capital for poor english! (Deristrictor excepted )

If you dont fancy the drive up to the North coast then you could always meet a few of us here
www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=71701&f=25&h=0

To save you reading all that...we are meeting between Arnage and Indy corners on Friday morning at 10:00.

And remember to all get a PH Le Mans t shirt with your name on so we all know who we are both on the way down on when there.
It would be good to see some PHers on teh early morning boat, get the holiday spirit going asap!

Just heard from my pilot, he's worked out the cost fuel and landing and parking fees and asked if 80 quid each was ok

to which we all said yes and have chucked 100 quid in the kitty...

if it all comes off it will be about the cheapest crossing i've ever done.

400 quid for 4 of us and a total journey time of a few hours each way
