planetdave and I are booked on the afternoon ferry from Portsmouth to Caen on Thursday. (returning Monday lunchtime). Have been looking at trying to change this closer to the time, as would prefer to arrive on French soil a little earlier. (pitching tent late at night not my thing).
Did think that maybe the overnighter may be a good one. I am off work from the Tuesday night so could do the Wednesday.

Eli

Of course I have not checked this out with pd yet, but as he is my passenger he will bloody well do as he is told, or he can walk. Nooooooo!!!!!!!!!! who said that?

As you well know I am not able to have that many days off work.

So you're wanting to go on your own then?

No.

It will depend what you are working on the Wednesday then.
If you finish at lunch we could depart that evening and may be get the 7am Thursday.(checked the 23 something overnighter and it was eeeeekkkkk on the price). So we arrive on foreign soil in daylight. Pitching the tent at 1 in the morning may be a little wearisome.
