Hello!!!

Do you not listen / read the news? London has been given the go ahead to have cars belt round it by the pen pushers? Its the race organisers who have to pull their fingers out now. But remember we are british and cant organise a piss up in a brewery. We are simply to lazy! Look at Silverstone, any other nation would have had that place sorted, but we cant be arsed!

hello.

Silverstone is sorted. Ever been to Brazil? Or at least 2 other European circuits I could think of. Silverstone is a good circuit with good- not excellent- facilities.

London has NOT been given the go-ahead. Car hater Ken has made a formal request to the FIA to stage a GP- not the same thing at all. Its just a publicity stunt, I'm afraid. A race in London will have no run off areas, no Grandstands, no pits facilities and (most importantly of all) nowhere decent for the Corporate Hospitality guests to view from.

Its a just a publicity stunt, same as last Tuesday's showing was.

(Notice I said this without shouting. You do not need to shout, either...)

Sorry if I offended by my previous post, only reporting what I know. Could you provide a link to where you got your information from, because afaik London have only spoken to the FIA, which is a world apart from speaking to the govt?
I'm interested to find out exactly how far the London idea has got so far?
Any further info greatly received.
Cheers.

How about 24 hours of Brands...

Close to London, close to France and a great track. Just the locals are all NIMBY's...

Alternatively, a loop around Newbury and across the Ridgeway on the A338 / A34. I have tested the SL55 around there and can confirm that Le Mans type speeds are possible there

Only kidding orificer!

Humm, Having to swallon some pie. My contact (who works for a well know paper - sorry comic) was talking out of his arse. Appologies. But it woudl be cool wouldnt it.

if it went ahead though I think I would prefer the original LeMans, can you imagine some of the tossers that would turn up... It would be like going to Southend on a saturday night - Burberry everywhere

What about the Goodwood 24 hours? There's a man with the enthusiasm, the contacts and the history to carry it off!

Might need some redevelopment of his estate mind (roads are a teensy bit narrow )
