Best lease car deals available?
Discussion
Been looking at the 420D my self actually. Best i have found so far is this one as I need 20,000 miles P/A:

However the deposit is steep on that so I am hoping Tilsun get back to me tomorrow with a better deal.

was abut to pull the trigger on the Eclass deal (Julian at Tilsun was very helpful) for 15,000 pa; then BMW advised a few stock 520D with decent kit (prof, M+, folding mirrors) and ready for immediate delivery. £318 +vat for 15,000 on 6+23. not a great selection of colours but had a silver/black; just waiting for delivery next week. impatience won the day.
only on business but if anyone keen for something very quick they have a few left and some 420's too; although there seem to be plenty of deals on those coming through anyway.

Is the 520d business only? It bugs me when they do that, know someone who has an e class convertible AMG on business at three hundred odd quid a month....only on business but if anyone keen for something very quick they have a few left and some 420's too; although there seem to be plenty of deals on those coming through anyway.

Smartlease? Have they got any left?
Sent me an order form at 11am so I presume so...I move every 6 months with work for 2 years and found out today could be in London by September next year so can't risk a 2 year lease as may end up not even needing a car in 9/10 months time!

Chaps ,any big brains know the ball park figure % wise to add on if the cost shown is for 10k miles and you want 20/25/30?
Thanks in advance
Quite hard to guess as some cars the residuals can really plumit with high mileage. Thanks in advance
My man maths works at £30 for every £1000.
For example, a £300 a month lease, to go down from 6 to 3 upfront would be about £30 a month.
A car doing 30k instead of 20k in 2 years will probably depreciate another £1000. About another £30
There are some cars however, which it's way off the pace. I know a VW CC will cost about £5 a month more to go from 10k a year to 20k. I would say add £30 for every 5k more a year.

As per the original question on the subject. Most lease cars are virtually or relatively option-free I believe.
Manufacturer margins on extras must be 80%+ at a guess.
SO it doesn't make financial sense for them to discourage people from buying extras on lease deals by effectively overcharging on what already has a huge margin.

Pretty much most extras add the some total of cock all to the resale value of a car, it can make them more desirable though. There are certain cars which back in the day had to have extras added to them or the resale value was very poor.
Also the leasing company will only get the same discount on the options as they do on the vehicle itself. So with maybe 30 odd percent off the cost of an option, coupled to the fact that they won't see a penny of it back, means that you'll pay for the whole cost of the option (or near as damn it) over the length of the agreement. Which is why it's unusual to find an ex lease car that has lots of options
