Hi, First time poster! I got the following email from Bedford VW regarding the Passat:

Many thanks for your enquiry, unfortunately I am unable to provide more information at this time regarding the Passat Alltrack.
Currently Volkswagen Financial Services are not allowing us to perform quotations on their system.
Fingers crossed this is a technical error as opposed to a calculation error on the figures they provided me with.
I will update you as soon as I know more!!!
Please do not hesitate to contact me if there is anything else I can assist with.
Apologies for any inconvenience!!!
Kind Regards

Ticker from NVS website;

"Important - All approvals in the system for the VW Passat Alltrack offer WILL be honoured where a valid finance approval is in place. This means that if we've confirmed your acceptance, we can order at the rate agreed. We are working through a large backlog of order forms, please rest assured that these will be with you ASAP."

Pretty disappointed I didn't just call and order first thing this morning. Sent an email, requesting more details instead. Was mulling over an Octavia Scout, £2090 initial then 23x £149 inc VAT at 8k miles and the Passat deal obviously blew that out of the water.

Must stop letting work get in the way of things!

From reading and considering other deals I think it's always preferable to go via a dealer if possible. Not paying the admin fee is a bonus but you'll also generally get better service. It can work out slightly more but you'll get a more personal service. I imagine the lease companies will bang that deal out all day long if they could for a small margin.

Mine was accepted last night but they're asking for bank statements etc which i'm thinking they don't really want to do it. It's £120/month FFS.

Reference VW Passat Alltrack 190 DSG:

I phoned Crewe VW at 9 this morning. Quote was emailed straight away and I signed the agreement by 9:30.
By 11 the finance had been agreed and I then signed the order form.
I've now had verbal confirmation that my order has been accepted.
The outstanding item being the delivery date, which should be confirmed tomorrow.

The deal for what it's worth: 8k 3+23 £147 inc VAT, no fees.

The poor sales guy sounded knackered.
Cheers to whoever first posted this deal.......it's been emotional.

Congrats to you and others who got the deal.

I rang two VW dealerships - Parkway Leicester and Arthur Prince Loughborough. Said I was ready to sign paperwork if they could just confirm price. Neither got back to me. Useless.

My 2p to get the best deals:

don't hesitate by spending time asking questions on forums
phone don't email
phone a main dealer not an agent, even if the £ is a bit more

Sorry to those who didn't succeed, there's still a % I might not either, so I'm not trying to be smug.

Anyway......onwards to the next deal, because history shows there always is another.....

Well done everyone who got one or tried to get one.

There was some guy lost in the flood a few pages back asking about a 520d, but he didn't say where he got the numbers from. If he's watching, I suggest he states ALL the info in the spirit the thread is intended, not keep the broker a secret. Cheers!
