That's a poor deal @ £7584. Last year BMW 125d were £5500 and Golf GTD similar. Ok today those cars are more, but that indicates what's a good deal.

For £7500 you can get a BMW 420d, Audi A4, and similar.
Thanks for the advice, I've had a look around and cant seem to find any deals on a 420d at a similar price, are you aware of any current offers?

That's an insane deal! I need my house purchase to finish then it's straight to BMW for one of these!
Must be a stock deal. BMW have stopped taking orders on new M135 3dr's. Cheap though!

Yeah i'm looking for a nicer spec than that, I think the interior on an AMG line is superb and the night pack tops it off.

Off the top of my head that looks too cheap for a C Coupe, there's still very little support against it. I could be wrong though

The Merc 45 models are just really expensive cars for what they are. Pretty poor value.
My A45 arrives monday - twice the cost of Golf's and 135's.......and worth it!

This is PH for Gods sake! I drove every hot hatch out there...a LOT and a new A45 butchers them all. Point to point it's the fastest thing I've driven.

Sure, if you want a great lease deal, they are useless - mine is 3+30 and still over £600......but while Golf drivers are working out the % paid of list over 2 years blah, blah, blah......I'll be laughing like a loon in a car that makes the Golf R feel like very, very normal.

Is it possible to order the basic spec at the above rate, but then add the AMG pack (styling kit) as a optional extra which you just pay for one off?

That's definitely your opinion. Glad to hear you're so up for it. I guess the whole point of this thread is financial sense. I'd never say the A45 was even remotely approaching proportionately better than the Golf compared to cost, but I guess value isn't linear.

It's not much, only a few percent over dealer margin. C saloon is around £200ish a month + VAT, so the Coupe would be a chunk more as it's more expensive and has less discount

If that is what you want and you are happy with the cost then go for it, you don't need consent from anybody on here. Just do it!!

I've heard that there will be some deals toward the end of the year, as the F10 moves towards replacement (early next year?).

Both valid points. As tiggsy says it's pistonheads - value is also def not linear. i am working the man maths here like a pro and I'm totally gob smacked a 40 yo woman is quite taken with a lairy 380bhp hatch!! I'm not going to say no :-)

i appreciate the golf is cheaper but that's for a base spec. She's got a good job and doesn't want to go from a high spec a3 to a seemingly low spec golf. Add some toys and its £100pm extras so approx £400pm, the A45 is still £100pm + more. Anyway, we are driving a m235i next weekend so all to play for....

Wrong choice of word 'base' from me, I'd be happy - she wanted leather heated seats and a few other bits. I said leather on a 2yr deal is going to cost her £60pm extra - that made her think twice about ticking it! I've said a 2yr golf with a few choice options is the sensible choice.
