Hello from a new one to the forum !

I've been reading over all the posts for the last several weeks and I'm looking into leasing/PCP on 2 cars, one for my wife and the other for me.
I'm very taken with the Audi S4 but I'm also interested Merc C350 and my wife likes the Merc GLC or the VW Touareg.
Just wondering what's people's thoughts on these and the best place for each car to get the best deal ?

Any help welcome ?

Cheers
The S4s direct competition from Merc is the C43 not the C350 so not sure what your objectives are to be honest, especially since you have said you are also considering a Touareg and a GLC. From a financial point of view I would imagine an S4 lease being the cheapest option, unless deals are also to be done on the 350. Like for like the GLC and Touareg are dearer than the S4 on lease too. On PCP I would think they are all pretty similar other than the C350 slightly less as it is also a cheaper car on RRP. When looking for my S5 lease I worked out I didn't think I could own it for the lease cost and the Merc C43 was not in the same parish price wise on lease and the PCP deals were also far dearer. But I think you need to decide what you want.
Thanks for the advice and I'm probably going for the lease hire S4 for mine.
The wife on the other hand wants a higher driving position for her car so that's why I'm also looking into the VW or the Merc and any good deals about ?
Cheers

The Merc has the infamous steering full lock rumbling issue (that as far as I am aware they won't acknowledge) but are a nice car, only niggle I have from direct experience is the cheap iPad ripoff on the dash (the S4 also has a fixed screen but at least it looks like it was designed to be there) and having driven a few Touaregs they are good to drive for what they are IMO but it depends on how much of a priority it is to have the high driving position. Dynamically they are nothing like an S4 and some would call them pretty dull (not me having got an S5) but if the best of both these worlds is needed how about an SQ5 if/when they are on decent offers?

At least a 250 and AMG if possible but if it comes down to it just a good spec with decent engine ?

It's 2 separate cars I'm after Tom, the wife does a quite a bit of motorway miles with the kids and wants to be in a higher position. Mines for me when I'm home due to working away so mileage not a problem..
Just out of interest what kind of offers have been on the SQ5 last time ?
Thanks

Aah sorry got wrong end of the stick!

Don't think there have been any current model offers on the SQ5 worth taking about unless they are shoving through PCP.

For what it is I would be all over the S4 then. The only thing to watch out for is I read (not sure if in here or the S4 thread) that allegedly they are swapping 19"s to standard so make sure this is the case when your ordering.

It looks like I have missed the very best deals on a Golf GTI but has anyone seen any further deals in last few days? The best I can see from going back a few pages is the Vehicle Savers one:

I have also been following this - only one I could find is this site (wessex) which is a similar deal but lower admin fee:
http://www.carleasespecialoffers.co.uk/personal-le...

Also I just noticed you can get a 2.0TFSI Audi A4 S-line for around £10p/m more - only the 190 BHP model but a really nice interior:
http://www.carleasing-online.co.uk/audi-a4-saloon-...
Not compared the spec yet - but likely that the Golf will have more kit as standard.

Uchoose seem to have it a little cheaper based on the same term & mileage, they don't charge fees either.

However their deal isn't underwritten by VWFS but by someone else, not sure how this might effect future lease extension, option to purchase and extra miles et

£3600 deposit, ouch. Whilst the monthly price looks attractive, once you add on the equivalent £150/month for the deposit, not so much.

Yes, it's around £1500 overall more than the great deals of a month ago. Which isn't much use to someone looking today, I recognise.

Not sure I'd agee with that. The deal above is £9800ish for the term - which is about the best I've seen. There certainly weren't deals that were circa £8300 for the term.

Sorry, for some reason the picture didn't show on the work PC I was using (just looked again on my phone), thought it was the Golf GTi deal above that was been discussed.

I agree, the S4 deal is good, the last one I saw below £10k all in was for 5k p.a. mileage, this is better on that basis.

I think that was a mistake and they hadn't added vat to the monthly price!

Even still £258+vat isn't £270.
