It appears to be a LOT more expensive on a lease deal from the same broker.
a4 avant 1.4tsi sport without metallic 10000 miles a year 24 months , £239.99 fees, £2495.45 then 23 x £277.26 = 9112.42 or £379.68 per month overall
Expensive compared to the black edition at £354.29 a month and thats with metallic.
Of course if you can point me in the direction of better deals I'm happy to have a look!
The sports were available for less than £6k IIRC not long ago. Try Contract Hire and Leasing to see if any are still available. Well you ought to be looking there anyway if you haven't already!a4 avant 1.4tsi sport without metallic 10000 miles a year 24 months , £239.99 fees, £2495.45 then 23 x £277.26 = 9112.42 or £379.68 per month overall

Found an line estate offer with metallic, £7500 over the term. Very tempted, only looses cosmetic bits really over the black edition and a grand cheaper.
Sounds like a good deal as you do get a fair bit of kit over the sport, IMO the black edition looks are not to my taste, S line looks much smarter. Mo28 said:

Cheap Seat Leon from Central leasing - high initial but monthlies are negligible
Seat Leon Hatchback 1.4 TSI FR Technology 5dr
24 months - 6k miles - £83.99/month (£2400 initial)
I'm guessing that these Seat Leon Deals ( there was another for a 1.2 as well) might be available from some Seat dealers as Wessex is part of select car leasing, both an offshoot of a main dealer. Seat Leon Hatchback 1.4 TSI FR Technology 5dr

I think I've seen Horton SEAT Lincoln and Snows Southampton mentioned before.
I inquired directly with Seat dealer yesterday and the cheap deals are still available on the 1.4 FR models however the lead time is around 19 weeks!
Seems like there have been delays since the start of the year and it is not getting any better.
Still a good deal though - for the 125 and 150 BHP models (don't think there is any difference in the spec/setup)

Quick update on my Golf Mk7 lease from last year.
Just phoned VWFS and renegotiated my mileage and bought an extra 11000 for £308 which works out at 0.028p per mile excess!
Its made a £28 a month difference to my monthlies.
Pretty happy with that

Thanks

FYI.. I have been debating over buying a used Leon - or getting a face-lift model on lease.

I just ordered one of these for the OH (£6000 off list cash buy, not lease). I was fortunate enough to get a build slot already allocated to dealer, so due in 3-4 weeks which is nice. Anyway, they advised that the SEAT factory closes for August, which is just adding to any previous delays, and if I hadn't got that build slot the lead time was indeed a minimum of 19 weeks, potentially more.I inquired directly with Seat dealer yesterday and the cheap deals are still available on the 1.4 FR models however the lead time is around 19 weeks!

Quick question -
is it normal for dealers to go into radio silence mode after an order has been placed?
Current position - agreed lease deal and paid £500 deposit - received a "vehicle order" form that listed all the details (incorrectly - lists DSG rather than man 6spd) and prices (which he told me to ignore).
Nowhere on the form does it mention agreed payment schedule or the dealer contribution (agreed as part of sale).
He seemed to be saying that this was just to book a build slot and that I would be hearing from VWFS - any idea if this is correct/normal?
Don't seem to be able to raise them on email/telephone/ carrier pigeon at the moment.

Most deals I see seem to be for up to 10 k mileage. I do about 12k a year so wondering if generally best to take a lower mileage and pay at the end if required?
Thanks
Just do the maths for both configurations. There will be little difference and the advantage could be for one or the other, depending on car, manufacturers, offers. time of the day etc etcThanks

1) You have to buy the additional miles before the end of the lease if you want a discounted rate. (Don't quote me but I don't think you will be offered a discount in the last 3 months before the end date so best to do it halfway through the lease)
2) You can only buy in blocks of 5000 miles
3) There will be an admin fee of £60
The above information is from my experience with VW.

Actually it's worse than you think. The £500 mentioned is actually £600 (including VAT), and there's a £300 (inc) fee not mentioned in the above posts by Mo28.Think I'm going to order an line in monsoon grey this morning.

Hi, i'm in a similar scenario. Order forms completed at the beginning of May, I have no customer number or order reference, which does feel a little bit odd anyway. Last conversation confirmed build week and anticipated delivery schedule. I haven't paid anything as yet though.is it normal for dealers to go into radio silence mode after an order has been placed?

good to know that I am not the only one. I find it staggering that I can't even get the dealer reception to answer their phone. Either they are grossly understaffed, closed down or the dolly on the desk hasn't worked out how the phone works yet.
Really irritating, especially as they wouldn't leave me alone before I agreed the sale.
