fact is all dealers, all salespeople have a number to hit. They are measured on it, perpetually... this month or quarter no different to the next. Fact also is that their business manager also has a number to hit, and he is the guy that is measured profitability.

13 might be 0.1% of their number or it might be 10% of their number anyway. There is no telling whether they will see this as a bad situation to be in, or more likely just a number they'll easily knock out in a few evenings this week.
Doesn't mean they aren't worth asking. I'm sure the OP is only trying to help....

Whilst you've provided some useful information re: leasing (thank you), all your good work comes undone when you post a link to your website with mediocre deals (at best). It's almost as if you're trying to pull the wool over our eyes.
Thank you for bringing this to my attention, I do appreciate this feedback. Your message has been forwarded to our Procurement department, lets see what they can do.

Thank you once again.

Firstly I'd like to thank Paul from Select for his additional contributions to this thread, explaining how things work for posters and browsers alike.
clap
Used to irk me a little when the odd average deal was posted, and nothing else- but now there is meaningful info on how things work, thank you.

Fast Bug - my continued thanks for your input.

Anyway, I know it's not my thread, but I had to get that off my chest.

As for the dealer/ broker situation my S4 was ordered through a broker, and I rang a couple of Audi dealers for a check (and to avoid the fees if possible) the nearest dealer price wise was about 3k over the broker cost.
Guess which dealer my broker ordered car is coming out of? biggrin
Thank you I will try to focus on addressing questions more than posting deals.

It may be worth considering that whenever you post a link to the Contract Hire & Leasing website, that the deal may not actually exist. In fact, it very often doesn't.

I'm not defending anyone, so Select may well be more expensive anyway, but don't just assume what you see on the screen is the reality. I stopped using the CH&L website a while ago when it bacame clear it was (in the main) just clickbait.

Seems decent although it's only 5k miles.

Anyone got a quote for 10k miles? Or know what the excess mileage rate/limit is?
I emailed them for a 10k quote. 2 weeks later i got a garbled email explaining the deal but they can do other prices for higher mileage. It seems reading is an issue for Stratstone Newcastle

If by 'very competitive', you mean 'more expensive'....

I'm not a PCH expert but what do you think of this:

Personal lease:
Mazda Mx5 1.5 SE
6+23 @ £215.17inc VAT
(10k)

(EW fleet services)
Any advice? I'm potentially fancying one to replace my GT86 as a daily.

Agree that there are lots of 'bait and switch' type offers on CH&L. However, when I was looking last night on CH&L, I found another 5-10 dealers/brokers offering cheaper Jukes than Select Car Leasing - which is a very good indication that cheaper deals exist. You usually see the type of click-bait deals in isolation.

Also, Select's 2 year Juke deals work out at around 30% of RRP with only 5k pa - I'm sure the majority on here know that equates to a poor deal.

What I was trying to highlight is the recent increase on this thread where brokers are posting their 'special offers' and 'competitive' prices - when in actual fact - they're not. It's usually in reply to newbies on this thread who may not be as clued up as the rest of us when it comes to getting a good lease deal. They signpost users to their website and then they've got them, when in actual fact there are better deals out there on the same car that work out hundreds of pounds cheaper over the term. Wessex Fleet also posted 'a special offer' deal a few pages back when it really wasn't that special.

I don't mind when we go off topic on this thread and talk about PCP, outright purchases, learn the ins and outs of leasing etc. but it annoys me when we get links to poor lease deals.

This is the 'Best Lease Car Deals Available' thread, not the 'Post Any Random st Lease Car Deals Available' thread.

I think most dealers have been struggling with targets this quarter as the rush to register new vehicles pre VED change meant that many brought forward their purchase/lease into the 1st quarter. Now that we are late into the 2nd quarter people start to look at the 67 plate.

I just purchased (sorry - wrong thread I know!) a MY18 A6 Avant Ultra S-line with 26% discount from list. Worked out cheaper than a lease on a Passat estate with a (limited) chance of a bit of equity at the end. 10k discount also means reduced early negative equity so a pretty flexible option for a nice car! The dealer still had 10 to go to hit target.

Maybe the next one will be a lease smile

Called about 5 dealers now and not one of them can touch the price being offered by NVS on the S4.

it took so long to reply to the email thats likely. I didnt even bother replying to be honest as they didnt exactly inspire confidence in responding to a simple email
