Was a dealer I brought my last Leon from simply called and said this is the deal can you match it

He managed to Better it but did say he was loosing money
Might be worth sharing which dealership it was you got yours from incase others might wish to pursue a similar deal with no fee. What colour did you settle on? I liked a few including the metallic grey and the white but settled on the mystery blue, I saw one in the flesh and it immediately appealed.

I shall ask him first and get back to you all

Mystery Blue here too, would have loved a flat white but they don't do it anymore

4-5 months, which suited me as current lease goes back early December.
Now that is tempting as my lease is due back in December.

Do you have a link to the Riverside deal? I can't find it on their site.

So, I ordered my Golf R estate on PCH with Sytner VW Warrington last week, after submitting an enquiry via the What Car? site. They said they had cars allocated to them and that they had a black one left, which I ordered over the phone. I have a signed order form and can see that VWFS have carried out a credit check and I was told that "the finance is in place" and was given an estimated delivery date of 18th September (build week 31).

Today the dealer has told me that they were never actually allocated that car, and now neither they nor VW can supply a car to me and that there's nothing I, they, or VW can do about it.

Surely the signed order form counts as a contract? I'm absolutely livid. Apparently 3 others are in the same boat with Sytner.
I had a similar problem with my Golf R. Was told I had taken the last one and it was available in a matter of weeks. The next news was that the car was not ready at the dealer and I would have to wait for my to be built. Added around 3 months onto my waiting time but in the end was definitely worth it. I only have a one year lease though so already checking my options as I don't want a similar scenario to play out for my next lease.

Anyone spotted any decent deals for a vw scirocco? We are thinking about one as second car so only need 5kpa, looking to spend max £200pm and must have dsg. I recall there were some mega deals on the r at the start of the year.
CVL have a deal on the Scirocco R where it was £2k+VAT initial deposit £149.99 per month for 5k miles per year, 2 year lease. Unsure if there is any stock cars left. Suggest you give them a call in the morning. It was a stock car deal and they could deliver me one in 2-3 weeks, but I've opted for September delivery on a 67 reg as my current car goes then.

Been offered a A8 3.0 tdi (262) Blackline for 6 x 23 at £399 inc VAT. 8k miles 24 months.

ie £11577 amoritised on a £70k car is that 16.5% based on RRP or should i be going for the current offer which I think is £54k ie 21%

Was looking for fast large estate car (eg A6 BiTdi avant or 540d xdrive touring) but thought this was too go an opportunity not to take.

What you guys think?

Worked out the P11d at over £9k pa so looking like a personal lease is preferable.

Could you let me know who is offering it? Private message is ok. Stock or factory order?

If it's Black Edition, it's good price. Cheapest Black Edition I've seen is around £13800 from dealer in Eastbourne.

I'm after one and also chasing A6 AllRoad as I saw good deal but it's a stock car. Now calling dealers and trying them to match it for factory order.

Do you mind sharing the A6 all road deal please? Seen the 3.0 V6 272 Sport for 328£ per month but not sure if as a stock car this is not with the older interior. Still great deal though

just go to whatcar and search for an S90 and its the first one that comes up. I just showed my phone to the dealer and he recognised the dealer and knew straight away - must be something to do with the way the deal gets structured as he went to see the boss to get approval to match it.

Worked out at £255 per month on 6+23 including the front parking sensors and metallic. Decided to stick with Onyx Black and the blond interior.

Official OTR price is £34,890 - my two year lease will be £7,395 so just 21% of the OTR price.

It's stock car, grey. That's all I know. Car Leasing Online broker. I was trying to find out which dealer has it to deal directly but no luck. Called a few but they can't match that price.

When was the change of interior? I did not follow A6 model changes.

Yes black edition and i think they are stock. it is with Blake Winterburn of Jardine Motors 0151 224 7636 blake.winterburn@jardinemotors.co.uk in addition to the A8 offer they have been given some manufacturer support for all their vehicles until 5pm today apparently.

He said the allroad depreciates more than the average so his deals on them are not so hot.

if you could say i introduced you I get £50 so would be grateful, will chambers is the name.

Best of luck.

That's the stock car, supposedly one left and they didn't exactly want to deal with me in case of preferential finance termination which I will need to do for stock car.

Contacted dealer you posted details and will be ordering A8. Was waiting for a good price for couple of weeks now. It's almost the same price as my S8 2 years ago, however half the power. But I need something with better range. Black Edition has good spec and I'm sure I will enjoy it.

Just out of interest, how do you handle the preferential early termination? PM if you want to keep chat away from here.

Apols, didn't realise that was the one you were looking at. What is preferential finance termination?

What a deal that was for an S8.... jezzz, i did ask (as a fan of Ronin), but there was no manufacturers support. I just realised that the A8 is being changed in the autumn, sure you are aware of that, but thought i would mention anyway. Wonder if the S8s will be going for cheap again before they change over...

New A8 was announced a week ago but no official pricing or sale start yet. I'm fully aware of new model but I'm happy with current one. I'm sure there will be some deals for outgoing model.

S8 is great but it's a bit overkill for daily commuting on M25 and usual range is 430 miles only. I'm hoping I can get 750 miles from 3.0tdi with 44mpg average (confirmed by other owners). I have other car for fun driving with loud engine and exhaust.

There's a thread about previous S8 deal with user reviews - https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

BTW, if anyone orders A8, there's service package at £350 for 3 years, worth getting it before car collection. I can see that Audi got wiser and excluded S8 and W12 now.
https://www.audi.co.uk/owners-area/audi-insurance-...

Someone mentioned this preferential termination a few pages back. What I understand, it's kind of part exchange of your car when you take new deal with VWFS.

Just wanted to share my experience with Spire Audi Watford, below is my email to them that explains everything. It is a reminder to check and double check everything as certain Hyenas will try every trick in the book to make it a better deal...

Hi,
following our meeting today, while officially cancelling my order, I would like to share my Spire Audi Watford buying experience.

I came to you dealership with a quote from another Audi retailer for the above vehicle on personal contract hire, 6+23, 10k miles @ 287£. (yes, great deal indeed, as proven later, to good for some)
I met with Gareth, who looked after me very well, seemed very nice a polite and said he will do his best to match the quote with the manager.

I have emailed him the official quote which was then taken to the managers office (never been given a name but overheard the name Tom).
Gareth came out 15min later and said he can match the quote and even better it by securing earlier manufacturing week.
Until that point all good.
As I was keen to secure the car, I have paid 1500£ deposit on the spot. While briefly going through the agreement, I have noticed the quote was changed from 10k to 8k miles.
Gareth apologized, blaming it possibly on a small manager typo, and went to see his manager again to change this.

Few days later I have asked about the possibility to add privacy glass to the car, requested a quote and asked whether it would affect the manufacturing week.
As the manager was not available/too busy, Gareth called me couple days later to say it would not affect the manufacture, to which I have answered great, but still need to know the price, as that is obviously the main factor.

Last Friday, I have finally received an email from Gareth with a quote for the car with the extras , where he kindly asked me to sign a new contract as the price apparently went from 343£ to 364£!
It seems that even though I have already signed a deal @ 287£ a month inclusive of VAT, (and this fact has been mentioned countless times during the deal and was on the original quote), this has been added to the price again.
After going into panic mode and an immediate complaint, I was told that "the manager must have made a small mistake somewhere " and that it will be corrected. ( 1600£ worth of small mistake in fact).
On top of that, when given the correct quote that morning, I was told the privacy glass was already added and it was now not possible to cancel it.

So lets sum this up.. There is only two options here:

- someone has either confused me with overexcited pensioner who does not reads what he signs and does not read the small print. Quietly tried on 3 different occasions to change the quote in every possible way to his benefit, and get me to sign it, potentially costing me 2k more than originally agreed quote.

- or someone who is in charge of the numbers (which he does for living) is not taking enough care when handling clients money.

I'm trying very hard to give your dealership the benefit of a doubt, but which ever way I look at this, I find it insulting and deeply worrying, that was it not for me watching very carefully all the contracts and the whole process, I would find myself 2k out of pocket and possibly too far into the deal to do anything about it.

I do therefore think it is not unreasonable to request immediate cancellation and refund, as I find it difficult to trust your dealership with my money (especially where the manager after my today's visit did not even bother to come out and speak to me in person, to at least apologies or try to keep my business, even though I have asked Gareth several times about his presence.
I'm being told this will take about 5 working days which should give me enough time to think about the best way to share my experience with the motoring community and potential clients.

Regards,
