I had some 140i personal prices sent through from BMW and they were not competitive with the previous business deals +VAT unfortunately, 36 + 8k + paint was £14.1k...
True, I have never seen any deals I would consider decent until somebody posted this deal below a few pages back. If I find any deals better than this then I will find it hard to turn down.BMW 1 Series Hatchback Special Edition M140i Shadow Edition 5dr

Arval allowed business deals to car allowance customers, not sure if they still do but they sure did a few years ago
ThanksThat does make things interesting
- need to now find companies who will allow this..
How do you prove you have a car allowance ? Via a payslip?

Could somebody enlighten me on the rules for putting a private plate on a lease car?
How do we go about it?
I know this may seem a silly question and maybe not exactly on topic but I figured this be the best place to ask.
Email the broker and / or leaser and get their written permission. Some might want a form filling in. They, not you, own the car, so you need to get their nod.How do we go about it?

Just removed mine from a lease car in preparation for my new one being registered. Its a little long winded so here are the steps I'm going through. How do we go about it?
I know this may seem a silly question and maybe not exactly on topic but I figured this be the best place to ask.
My process was:
- lease company contacted me about 2 months before the end of the contract to remind me to remove the plate before the car goes back.
- I had to send them a written request for the reg to go on retention with 2 cheques (£80 for the DVLA retention fee and £25 for their admin fee).
- about a week later I received the Retention Certificate direct from DVLA (so 2 weeks elapsed).
- I had to contact the lease company to find out the original reg and they sent me an authorisation letter so I could get the new plates made up.
- fit plates and let my insurers know about the change
- I now have to complete the Nominee section of the Retention Certificate with the lease company details and send it to my dealer (Jaguar PCH through Lancaster - not a broker). They will send to the lease company.
- I'm just waiting for confirmation of any admin fee before I send off.
- car should be delivered on my personalised reg
Hope that helps.

Useful find, cheers for that will try and get a test drive of one. Big spacious car for the money and nice spec too with 360 degree camera, assisted parking, sun roof etc etc
PS was that a business or personal lease as I can't find that deal at the moment?

Some observations by way of pro/con:
Pro:
-Driving technology, the precautionary emergency brake stuff has been useful.
-The 360 stitched aerial view is amazingly helpful when parking, kids, obstacles, you can see everything clearly.
-Nav and BT have been fine across android and iOS, always reliable and with speed camera warnings.
-General ride around town isn't bad considering it's rolling on massive wheels, not refined, but not crashy.
-Fuel economy isn't bad.
-Reliable, no issues with the car.
Con:
-Road noise, if you're used to driving something german you'll hate the noise. The sound deadening is as thick as a Mr Kipling foil tray.
-Engine, generally fine in the 1.6D we have but accelerating on to a slip road or pushing the car from 50-80mph it's breathless.
-Rattles, I think someone threw some gravel in to the roof liner of mine, at 30mph at a specific RPM... gggrrrr
-Infotainment, the Nissan Connect companion app is probably the most useless thing I've ever tried to use. The lack of apps in their ecosystem (something we were part sold on) is a shambles.
-Paint seems to be reasonably thin.
I'm not sure I'd go for another, though if I did it would be for the newer 2.0D model which apparently is much better to drive.

It's still on, I was speaking to IMG today. Going for one myself - just haven't decided on colour, Nevada White or Mystery Blue. Thanks to the original poster for mentioning it.

Just signed up to a Giulia Veloce with £1k of options on a 3x23 deal at £399 incl vat 8000 miles. Direct with mangoletsi in knutsford (ask for gary)
Works out over the 25% given the options but thought it was a decent level of support.
Drives like a dream too! Interior is nice (not as nice as the c class interior) but the car is so much more interesting for a couple of years than a 3 series, c class or a4.
There is good support from Alfa at the moment on Veloce.Works out over the 25% given the options but thought it was a decent level of support.

Best deal I've got so far is 419 on a 3-35 for 15000 a year. No extras.
I'm hanging on a bit to see if the Stelvio works for me, but the costs appear to high at the moment.
Another nice deal if you want a big luxury bus:

Cheers for the info a useful set of feedback from an owner. Cost wise I don't know what else compares as the x3 has less room and more expensive. I want a q7 but Mrs says it's too big day to day in London.....
