Hi guys,

Long time lurker but keen to get some thoughts on 2 deals I'm considering:

#1: Skoda Superb Diesel Estate 2.0 TDI CR SE L Executive
10k miles
9+23 @ £215/month

#2 Audi A4 Avant 1.4T FSI S Line
10k miles
9+23 @ £236/month

Both in stock.

What do you reckon?

Looking for some advise on PCH quote I have.... trying to work out if its a good deal.

from Skoda Main dealer

SKODA OCTAVIA ESTATE 2.0TSI 245 VRS DSG
£2k Initial
23x £326
15k annual millage

lead in is about 17 weeks but they have a few stock models with some extras on meaning an extra £10 a month.

I cant really reduce millage.

Any advise would be appreciate on how it stacks up against comparable models/deals
Not a great deal tbh.

If you want a skoda estate DSG, the superb is on a much better offer. At 15k miles PA, you're also probably better off going for a diesel.

Yes lease doing a superb estate 2.0 TDI SE tech DSG on a 6+23, 15k miles for £246.30. Pretty sure Horton Skoda would match this too without the broker fee

Really depends what your criteria is as they're quite different cars. I have the Superb in Hatch form and it's a great car for covering large distances in comfort. Long term actual mpg is 55 (brim to brim), 750-800 miles per tank, ACC makes motorways a doddle and enough tech inside to keep you happy.

The other is an Audi.

What's the list price?
P11d is 29,930... OTR on web is 30,185 I think

It's to become the wife's everyday runaround but will see a fair bit of motorway mileage at weekends and the odd road trip. Would you still punt for the Superb?

I've not driven the Audi so it would be unfair to comment on that

Mine (company car) is so good that I would order exactly the same tomorrow if I needed to. I've done 57k so far and it's had no real problems. Only on it's 2nd set of front tyres, original brakes, and had 3 services.

It's not a good price IMO. Did you try a Superb Sportline from Hortons or Simpsons?

So just a thought on when considering whats a great deal or not for leases vs buying:

I've picked up that if the total lease cost is roughly 20-25% of the retail price, that's a good deal?

But does this vary with length of lease deal, or should it apply only to x+23 leases?

Is there any consideration for depreciation % on a bought car... some do much better than others on the depreciation game. How about the discounts and deals a dealer will offer off the list price?
I use discounted price in my calculations, because some cars have big discounts so using RRP is pointless. I would never pay full price if buying outright.

Calm down plenty of stuff on this thread not LEASE related??????
He said "please". That's quite calm by most people's standards.

Anyway, here's the PCP thread:

Does it really matter? If thinking about a lease you would be daft not to consider pcp and vice versa. They are basically the same but dressed in different frocks!

As of Monday the price is going up to £259.00 a month, still an excellent deal!
