Ah - yes thanks.
Just spoke to unity - need to pull the trigger before the end of month.
At the same time there are potentially going to be some new deals for the new quarter ....
Really don't know what to do...
There's always a chance for new better promotion for different car. Alfa deal is quite good comparing to other cars and comparing to previous Alfa deal. But if it's not your ideal choice, just don't order it. Just spoke to unity - need to pull the trigger before the end of month.

What are your main criteria? Price, car model, fun factor, particular brand, lead time? You have to decide.

Have to say absolutely terrible website design, useless filtering options :/
I've got a deposit down on the new Cayenne, with estimated delivery April/May (essentially first batch and its written on the deposit receipt so no funny business hopefully). Still hoping a decent lease deal comes up instead, am I hoping in vein? I know anything on the Cayenne is unlikely and from previous post not going to see on on the Maser Levante. But have there been decent deals on equivalent SUVs?

Do you mind sharing the deal you got on the new cayenne? Thanks5to1 said:

I'm also looking at the new Cayene to replace my old one that I've had for almost 9 years. It's been a long time since I changed any car and leasing seems to be the way to go these days. However I've been looking at the X5, Macan and SQ5 also, but there doesn't seem to be any bargains to be had at all. What sort of deal were Porsche offering you?

I wish I could share a deal No deal, list price purchase, £3k deposit. Probably need to spec end Jan/early Feb, deposit is refundable until I spec the vehicle. Unlikely to take finance as salesman nodded and gave a resigned smile when I said their finance offer was likely to be s**t He said probably around 7% APR mark.
Slowly "growing up" going from coupes/sports cars, to four door "coupe" and now fed up enough with getting crap in/out of low slung cars (and mrs not wanting to drive them) to go the dreaded SUV route. Cayenne seems to be best of a bad bunch.

As I said no deals :/What sort of deal were Porsche offering you?
Looking for something which drives as close to a car as possible. Rules out Range Rover and don't particularly like the way MB's/Audi's drive (personal preference). Like the look of the Maser Levante (although interior isn't great) but no deals on that. Not great deals on the Macan or BMW. And figured if I got in early enough on the Cayenne I wouldn't lose my shirt if I wanted rid a few months later (we only do 3-4k miles/year, so while lists are long hopefully residuals on a low mileage one will be good ala first year Macan).
Nothings firm yet, still keeping an eye out for a decent alternative lease deal.

Looked at the Jag F-pace? More likely to get a deal on one of these.Looking for something which drives as close to a car as possible. Looked at lease deals and didn't see any great ones. But would consider it as a lease instead of the Cayenne as a purchase, if the deal was great. Reluctant to purchase a diesel (going for petrol Cayenne) as I think the politicians have done their typical routine of herding the masses into the diesel pen and are now vilifying them in preparation for the blood letting! Anybody considering a manual Golf R think about maintenance.
Mine's gone in for them to investigate clutch slip, and I've been told if they can't find a manufacturing fault it will be over a grand...23k miles for a clutch is not good enough. Can't even get it done by a specialist because to strip down assess and rebuild they said £570...got me by the short n curlies.
My response was, if that's the result I won't be spending any more money on VW cars...I'll speak to VWFS if that's what they come up with...I was considering buying one at the end of my lease in June, don't think I'll bother now if they're that fragile. I don't think I've driven it all that hard, and in 26 years driving I've never burnt a clutch out by misuse.

I've had BMWs , Mercs before and this is different....
Started looking at purchasing a second hand Q5 or infinity FX but Q5s don't seem great value and the infinity seems a little large for our needs.
Also I don't see many good deals for fun petrol cars for lease deals which makes it more tempting by the minute...
However at the same time there is a chance that there may be some Stelvio deals coming out in q4 or in the new year...
Need to speak to the oh to see if we roll the dice or not...

If it's on personal finance wouldn't the CCA apply? If so you might want to question if the product was fit for purpose should they not offer any good will. Also worth checking if you have any legal cover under your home contents to assist with this.Mine's gone in for them to investigate clutch slip, and I've been told if they can't find a manufacturing fault it will be over a grand...23k miles for a clutch is not good enough. Or just take it on the chin and get on with life (even when I win arguments like this, I sometimes wish I hadn't bothered :/).

Both the Q5 & Q7 have had good residuals I believe. But I would have thought with the 2nd Gen Q5 hitting the streets the old ones would start to drop soon. Although they are hard to tell apart so maybe not I've had BMWs , Mercs before and this is different....

There were some good deals on the Q3 black edition a few weeks back, not sure if still around. That is due to be replaced next year, but given they were two year deals you'd be out of it soon after anyway.

Stelvio does look nice. Saw a Milan Edition at the dealer which caught my Dads eye, but they didn't have great offers on it at the time.Need to speak to the oh to see if we roll the dice or not...

Haven't had the verdict from the VW dealer yet...good call on the house insurance we have legal cover. I'll go there if things go bad, see what VW say first.Or just take it on the chin and get on with life (even when I win arguments like this, I sometimes wish I hadn't bothered :/).
