Are the Mangoletsi and Beechdale deals on the Alfa 4C just clickbait?

3.5/3k down,

23 x £345pm

8k miles

Debating between the Veloce and this (if it's real!)
Most likely. There's a dedicated 4c thread in the alfa section. I sold my car after ordering one, turned out to be wrong!
You can get one for £600+ a month though.

Has anybody progressed with the Guilia Veloce deal yet?

I was all set on buying a second car once my VRS goes back, but this has caught my eye and I'm very tempted. I can't find the posts yet, but I recall someone saying that it would have to be ordered by the end of September? My Skoda doesn't go back until January, so I'd potentially have to pay to send mine back early.

Unfortunately I don't seem to have a local dealer anymore (Cardiff), but from what I've read they sound like great cars.

Its roughly 12 weeks delivery on the Alfa, so chances are you'll only have to hand the skoda back a month early.

I went to see one yesterday as was pretty keen, but it felt a bit 'low rent' inside compared to my current A4 lease deal, even though its a much more expensive car.

Thinking i might go for the A5 deals from central leasing instead.

Oh that's not too bad. I thought I'd read something about there being stock cars, so delivery would be pretty quick.

Coming from an Octavia I'm probably already at the low rent scale compared to the VW/Audis, so hopefully not that noticeable.

I've just seen the A5 deal actually.Seems a bit too cheap!

New to the leasing game! Will there be any stock deals as good as the VRS come October?

I've been quoted a lead time of 18-22 weeks which is a bit too long for me.

I spoke to them earlier today - was told it needs to be ordered before the end of the month.

Delivery would be end Nov /early Dec

Car is based on solid red and I think said 10pcm extra for a metallic.

Extra miles is 21p.

I'm still deciding, but to me seems much more interesting than an A4 or 3 series..

Seems the veloce has good spec as standard and reviews say fun to drive as well..

Anyone know the situation with the Veloce and the wheels shown in all the press releases...

http://fcauthority.com/2017/04/uk-alfa-romeo-giuli...

I went to an Alfa dealer and was told they should be available to order with the Veloce very soon but when I spoke to Unity they didn't know anything about them.

Anybody considering a manual Golf R think about maintenance.

Mine's gone in for them to investigate clutch slip, and I've been told if they can't find a manufacturing fault it will be over a grand...23k miles for a clutch is not good enough. Can't even get it done by a specialist because to strip down assess and rebuild they said £570...got me by the short n curlies.

My response was, if that's the result I won't be spending any more money on VW cars...I'll speak to VWFS if that's what they come up with...I was considering buying one at the end of my lease in June, don't think I'll bother now if they're that fragile. I don't think I've driven it all that hard, and in 26 years driving I've never burnt a clutch out by misuse.
How long until the car was due to go back?

I'm also not surer maintenance would cover that under 'fair wear and tear' as a clutch should last a lot longer than that. Mind you I've seen them shagged in way less than 23k from people slipping or side stepping the clutch
I seem to recall the clutches on 350zs used to go quite early on them. ~20-24K miles on the clock.
Despite me having ta conversation with the nice young lady at the desk twice explaining how to replaicte it, I still had a call off the master technician asking for permission to take my car home with him this evening to check it out...I told to him knock himself out (I know the mileage in case he takes the p) I also had to explain to him how to replicate it...

It's due back beginning of June so 8 months left...I was going to have to call VWFS anyway as I need to increase the mileage (currently only up to 25k)

If it gets stolen/written off it's problem solved as he said it would be their insurance that covers the car while he's got it.
Can you not just put up with it? Since you have essentially 6 months left of the lease. This type of thing wouldn't be picked up at the hand back of the car. Why dish out 1k to fix something that you wont be owning.

That is a good deal for that truck although it looks like solid red is your only colour choice?

There may well be but it's very much pot luck, manufacturers won't normally disclose to anyone what vehicles they plan to support or how much they plan to support them by so it's very much a case of waiting for the Q4 deals and hoping you find something that suits.

Generally very flexible, value for money is probably the key factor, long commute so decent strong diesel engine would be great. I do spend around 250£ in diesel in my super economical Skoda octavia mk2 (60mpg real life without fail) and I could charge electric car at work for free, so even that may be an option?

Incl. of VAT here, seems a bit cheeper?

That's a Warrior though so lower spec (although Barbarian mainly adds chintzy bits!)

True, I can't get over the Smiling Face of that truck, but great workhorse.
I would go this way, nicer truck, even more efficient engine for great money

Adding metallic paint to the Veloce bumps up the price by about £600 going by the conversation I just had:

8k miles
3+23
£300.77 Inc vat

10k miles
3+23
£317.92

Excess mileage is 20.2p a mile, so pretty steep, but still seems cheaper to go for 8k and pay the difference based on numbers above.

Needs to be ordered by end of Sept
Delivery expected end of Nov/Dec

I'm quite tempted, but can't decide what to do!
