Ditto that.

Had an email re adding 5K miles on to my 20K (2 year) allowance (Golf R Estate).

Once their admin fee of £60 is added, next to no difference (£348 vs £360). Can't be bothered to fill out the paperwork etc so will just pay the excess at the end.

I'd assumed all these stories (i'd read) of getting great revised mileage deals, had come to an end.
I managed to get the 3.6p a mile during August, so it must have only recently changed.

Glad I decided to do it at the time and not leave it any longer now!

My PCP contract is up in March/April 2018...

When would a good time to be looking for a Lease deal? The longest factory order deals seem to be about 12 weeks? so that means I should start looking around Christmas, but am I better off waiting till Feb/march for the best deals?
Given occasionally stonking deals pop up, you should always be on the look out. It could always be possible that its cheaper to take a deal now and hand back the PCP early.

Our Seat Leon Cupra (from IMG Seat Warrington) states its VWFS trading as Seat Finance.....is yours the same? I'd be annoyed if i couldnt get a reduced rate when it seems Audi can!
Mines a Hire Purchase but with Seat Finance trading on behalf of VWFS. Wonder if its the HP agreement that doesn't allow reduction whereas leases might do.

Also it may be possible to VT if you close to the end of your PCP contract. Worth investigating that option.

Has anyone seen any good deals on hot hatches? I currently have a Cupra 290 lease which is up in December, so the Cupra 300 deals are my main basis for comparison. I wouldn't mind the cars around the 200hp mark, but haven't seen any deals that really stand out.

I certainly hope it returns soon as I was kind of banking on the half price mileage.

I had a return inspection by BCA today and talked about charges. Guy confirmed what we already know here, that VWFS has very low charges so it's not worth fixing things. Confirmed some MB prices, like £85 for damaged alloy which I already knew from experience. I asked which company is the worst for high charges and was told Arval, so it's worth considering who's the funder when taking a deal.

Interesting. My VWFS funded Audi A4 has been keyed twice (once down the side across three panels and once on the bonnet). I'm really struggling to decide whether it's worth getting them fixed before the lease ends in March or not bothering.

My lease Jobby GTI got delivered last week! Absolute corker on my commute. Colour is very marmite but I love it. Very happy with the service from central and VW Cardiff (who it actually came through).

Could you give some more info about this one? What company you went through to get it, mileage, spec, rough price etc? Thanks in advance!

I'm pretty sure you won't get away with that under the BVRLA fair wear and tear guidelines.

Don't think they're expecting it under fair wear and tear, more that leaving it to VWFS to sort and getting their invoice would be cheaper than fixing it yourself

I doubt he thinks he's 'getting away' with anything just can't decide if it would be better (cheaper) to have it fixed before hand back or wait and get charged from VWFS for the repairs.

I think someone mentioned £110 or £150 per panel fee, so I assume it's cheaper than painting it. Also someone may complain about quality of work and charge fee anyway. It's going to be expensive whichever option you choose.

I would just leave it and let them bill you for it then there's no comebacks.

Empathise with you. My first lease (Qashqai owned by Hitachi via gateway2lease) was keyed across three panels (see thread where I caught the culprit on CCTV). I decided not to repair. At hand back a few months ago... I was right to stick to my guns. Cheaper to take the hit.

My Hitachi BMW is about to go back. Don't suppose you know/ remember their per Alloy wheel charge do you?

My Golf R got collected by BCA today as well. Pretty gutted that they found a scratch in the front bumper that i hadn't noticed last time i washed it about 3 weeks ago.. Mine was through ALD automotive, hopefully they don't stiff me for it.

Oh well, roll on my soon to arrive Giulia...

If it's hardly noticeable they shouldn't charge you under fair wear and tear.

Found these indicative charges on another thread:

Dents not requiring repainting £36
Body panel damage requiring repaint £110
Spare key replacement £132
Alloy wheel damage (per wheel) £36
Full valet £27 - £60
Tyre damage £50 - £300
Incomplete or missing service history £400
Windscreen damage £65
Lost sat nav disc £300
Bumper damage £138

I think these are all + VAT.
