Best Lease Car Deals Available? (Vol 4)

I'm currently looking for a good deal on a standard spec Golf GTE - has anyone settled on a good deal and ordered recently? Most of my quotes have been in the same ballpark with WindRush VW seeming to have a good offer at 6+23 10k ~£1500 dep and ~£235pm (VWFS, no fees) - the killer is the total lack of in-stock availability (as someone else recently mentioned) and an apparent 20-week build time. This is my first foray into leasing so I'm a bit nervous of pulling the trigger with the delivery time so far away - am I being silly?
You're either comfortable with it or not.Do you have a plan for the meantime?

Factory order you're looking at March now, unless its moved on again. Not too bad if you can wait as you'll get new reg. What boxes are you planning to tick? If its either of the packs (sound or light), 5 v-spoke alloys, window tints, virtual cockpit, you've got a chance of finding one close to your spec. If its HUD or reverse camera it appears you SOL Most i've come across appear to have atleast £2k spec.

Fair enough, I doubt you'd get that spec in any case. Dealers almost always seem to spec one of the packages. I guess they're either targeting those that want VC (which starts to make the Light package look cheaper) or Bose (which makes the sound one look cheaper).Black styling pack

What Qashqai model interests you? Optimum Contract Hire Limited and Yes Lease Limited both have good deals on the 1.5 dCi N-Connecta 5dr model. Roughly £1800 deposit and £170 per month based on 9+23 and 10,000 annual mileage.
Fantastic, thanks for this. I will check them out. Not entirely sure what model, but one with a few mod cons like sat nav, parking etc. I am looking for something urgently within the next few weeks as I have a little'un on the way and trying to get a responsible family car.

Does your order form say January/February build on it though? Even though this is only an estimated build time I think.

Agreed, if I was PCP over 36/48 months I’d go for all of them, but not on a leaseAny Audi Dealers matching the leasing firms then?

Looks good and a much better state of power than the usual 220d’sHi all,
I've been reading the forum for weeks and car leasing sounds really interesting for hassle free motoring and of course, getting to drive a nice shiny new car.
Could anyone out there list the most obvious benefits/justifications for leasing a car opposed to buying one outright?
Also where do you get insurance, is it through usual brokers or do you need specialist insurance?
Thanks,
Matt.

Google Search: leasing vs buying site: pistonheads.com it will give you hundreds of threads.
You take normal insurance, no need for specialist.

For the poster asking about the Golf GTE there were some emails recently from a broker with GTE Advance models either in stock or coming soon. It’s the Advance model so a bit more expensive but if it avoids expensive repair costs on the Mondeo then it might work. The cars may also be gone or could have been click bait to get you on the phone and lined up for a 20 week wait.

If you get the right deal it is cheaper than depreciation (accounting for discount), and that you also don't have to mess about dealing with sales people and their "you're going to get me sacked", "I'm going to have to speak to my manager about this (goes and gets a coffee from the canteen)", "These aren't as popular as they were when you bought it" or "If it was the other engine/colour you would get loads more but people don't want these" BS when trying to buy your car or trading in.The downside is lack of flexibility, as its normally a lot more difficult/expensive to get out of a lease than it is to get out of a PCP.
