New S5 or C43 AMG?

Anyone tried / considered both?

Performance wise v similar. Better offers on the Audi.

Better sound from C43.

Audi better space.

Thoughts please?

Tried S5 coupe for 5 mins. Want coupe but can only get sportback.

C43 have to wait for Friday and likely 4 door when I want a coupe.

Not the c class. Terrible infotainment system.

S5 for me

S5. 4WD especially swings it for me and although subjective and personal, I just don't like the look of the lates MB offerings due to the melted front and rear look most seem to have.

Is MB a better badge these days?

I think they're both good looking cars but the new c class coupe wins it in exterior looks for me ..... genuinely a good looking car imo.

The interiors of new mercs repulse me .... so chintzy due to the amount of chrome and shiny plastic so it would have to drive and sound a lot better to persuade me to go for one over the S5.

Typical response ... drive both and go with your heart.

the audi will be better built, better finished and a better all weather daily driver

the merc looks better and will be more fun, i have size 12s and find the left foot space very cramped in the C

the super cheap deals on the S5 are very tempting thou

Test drove C43 and S4 back to back.

C43 Much better sound, louder more pops and bangs. Probably more engaging too. Smaller inside than a S5 in the cabin. And S5 cabin better quality.

Looks wise on a par I think.

Audi def. Less engaging and def wouldnt go for S4 as really bland. Is the S4 a little quiter than S5?

Both v v quick.

No deals on C43 though. £100 month a more! Tough choice.

Maybe i should buy a 2012 991!
