no, wouldn't go that far. it isn't that bad... i've seen MUCH more garish 135i's on my searches... i had a fairy low key impreza. it looked as much of a "sleeper" as an impreza could (silver alloys, low spoiler, in white)

that black 135i though - it just looks like it's asleep! i am not a businessman, and that black 135i looks like one of a thousand other BMWs I see every single day. mudane AF, and i'd feel that feeling everytime i approached it.

Can't you modify it yourself though? It will cost more than buying a pre-modded one, but part of the satisfaction is doing it yourself to your liking. And you can always put it back to standard and sell the bits off before selling the car.

not into modding cars at all, however if the right one comes along...

the OG owner got back to me. confirmed BMW replaced the engine and he will try dig up any paperwork he might have, but he can't be sure as it was ages ago... he thougght he passed it onto the current owner but not sure.

has he will have a dig around...

not unpromising.

You normally only buy a car without viewing it once...I know I did. Its a lesson to learn. It is always worth viewing the car because you get to see where your money is going and you get an idea of how its been looked after by the previous owner, their attitude helps you to judge the car. I could name the people on one hand I would trust to tell me what a car is actually like.
Agreed.

I bought a Mondeo TDCI off another car forum about 10 years ago. Thought I was being the big-I-am having it collected from Nottingham and dropped off in Redditch which was home at the time.

Chap was a regular poster on that forum and he came over as a decent guy.

Then I went to move it on the drive and the starter wouldn't catch. Needless to say, the DMF was on its way out and seller had obviously decided to cut and run. Never again.

Really?

Do you know how far it actually is?

OP, you did say you weren't bothered if it was modded or not then say the black one looks too boring.
You've had advice on here mostly saying don't touch it with a barge pole yet are still determined to go ahead.

I'm oot!
Yep, I live in Gloucestershire and i bought one of my Rx7's from Perth.

Did the trip pretty much as i detailed
Fair enough, I must be getting old :-) I'd need at least 3 piss stops and a nap during that journey.

smile At 3am in a highly modified MR2 Turbo, there were some very illegal speeds being done which certainly helped the distance be covered.

The return journey involved 3 petrol stops and i had to pay for the fuel on both cars. Needless to say it was a very expensive trip. Totally worth it though!

Theres a better looking white example on babybmw which has been for sale a while at roughly the same price. It's in hull so less of a treck slightly.... looks a real good example plus has bmw performance wheels which i'd sell as they're vile and that gives you £1k to buy what you want

thanks for the heads up... you got a link?

getting a headache trying to navigate that site, don't see a classifieds section.

edit: can't get into the classified section without signing up first it seems, so won't be able to see the link anyhow... unless the car is advertised elsewhere?

will sign up later.
