My apprentice is doing his lessons an id like to reward him with a car.

It must be

cheap to insure
cheap to run
look really st

i was thinking along the lines of something like a yugo, but can't seem to find any, or an original skoda, or lada?

He will drive it, and tbh probably find it funny, he's a good lad and doesn't take himself seriously like some of these other youngsters who want a brand new a class.

Those Corsas with the 1 litre 3 banger were always a good choice for a new driver. Desperately slow, horrible to drive, st to behold, very cheap to buy and run.

Aside from that any of the really cheap and nasty far eastern stuff. Hyundai Getz, Chevrolet/Daewoo anything, etc.

Old skoda has VAG scene points now. For seems rubbish but actually quite good, a skoda is a pretty good option. If you really want to take the mickey, a yellow cinquecento with one red door..

1.1 Fiesta in that awful purple/blue colour purchased for £100.00 and insured for £1700.00. My 17yr old son hated it but I taught him to drive in 3 days and he drove it for his test and passed. smile

Oh yes theres some good shouts in here hehe i particulauy like the brown morris biglaugh

The daewoo are extra st but the problem is people actually do drive them now so might go un noticed.

The reliant is a bit cliche but oh my how crap are they! I've got visions of me telling them all to meet me somewhere, i come round a corner and roll the thing hehe with this lad id actually be worried he would kill himself, are they that dangerous? i mean they've been about for years so can't be as dangerous as they look can they?

I mean this was mine:

£500, started every day and was sufficiently st that I didn't want to show off in it... The exhaust fell off mine just after the downpipe, that was a fun 3 months of driving before its next MOT finally killed it biggrin
