A friend apparently got a 0% on an x3 last weekend. Apparently they did a reasonable deal to shift existing stock ahead of the new model.

Not bad either, is that the current new facelift model thats being replaced??

No wonder they can't shift the stock lol

X3 is an option but it's over 40k when pimped out so not sure i'll be interested.

Although the dealer is doing "free" servicing http://www.marshall.co.uk/bmw/new-car-offers/x3/ on it.

list prices of cars are so distorted now. 35.5k for a boggo 320d m Sport, with that huge deposit contribution it takes it down to where in my mind I actually I expected to roughly be for RRP, I presume the weak pound could be a big factor however.

I suppose it makes sense in a way - maintain a list price that consistently rises with inflation each year and vary the dealer contribution depending on where the, increasingly volatile, pound is.

Fair shout - although you can bet that some punters pay them.

I would be hugely surprise if anyone pays list price these days. Everyone might not get the "best deal", but they're getting a significant discount.

It's a bit stupid for a brand that sells strongly into the company car market as users there pay BIK based on list. I noticed Ford have just revamped the Mondeo line-up and reduced list pricing by £Ks.

i had a similar thought about that, BIK is ridiculous now and company cars only make sense if you dont get a cash option or do very high miles.

Even at zero interest, buying one of these on tick is becoming increasingly pointless. The dealer contributions and other incentives are hammering the RVs to such a point that you're pretty much stuck in it for full term. People need to realise this and go in with their eyes open.

I appreciate it's a cheaper way of buying a car, but I looked at the figures and just can't see how it's a good deal. BMW aren't alone, PCP just isn't what it used to be.

How does it need to change to start favouring us then? Cars with less margin?

I'm with you on 0% not being of any true benefit, it's an incentive, thats all.
