Hi guys,

Wondering if anyone has a 4 series GC used as a family car? I'm seriously considering one of the good lease deals that's around at the moment.

I have a 2 year old and hopefully another one on the way in a year or so time.

Anyone have a GC that also has a young family with kids in car seats? What's your experience? I'm slightly concerned about the coupe style car and it's practicality.

It will be fine if you want to be 100% sure bring your child seat with you to a dealership & check it but in all honesty you'll be fine.

Thanks mate. I presume speaking from experience? You didnt have any issues with loading the kids into the car with the smaller door opening or anything? I'm coming from a Golf GTD which to be honest, isn't exactly the biggest car so I presume the BMW 4GC will be on par at least if not better in terms of practicality.

The lower roof line wasn't a problem for me but you have a wider opening.

I had a 3 series and it was a perfectly practical family car (2 big isofix car seats in the back). Big enough boot for buggies, although could be slightly awkward due to the saloon style lid.

If anything the 4GC with the hatch will be more practical than the 3 series. Unless you're coming from a high riding SUV I can't imagine the slightly lower ride is really noticeable.

We had a 4GC recently before switching to a 3 Saloon. The hatchback does make it very practical, useable space if you didn't fancy a touring. Never had kids seats in the back but a few times had 2 6ft plus friends sit there and they never complained about being cramped.

For me personally I find the 3 easy to get in an out of as its slightly higher, but its minimal.

Great cars and should suit your needs perfectly.

Hi Guys, im looking at the same question. I’m just wondering, did you buy the car and if so, are you happy with its practicality and family (baby seat) suitability?
Would appreciate your feedback.
Cheers
