Is PCP a good idea or should I invest my money better?
Discussion
Is PCP a good idea or should I spend my money on other things.
Are investments a better way to go and drive a car I can actually afford rather than being a moronic sheep and driving a car beyond my means just to impress my neighbours.
Really interested in other peoples opinion about how I plan to spend my money.
Thanks!

If people see you driving an older car they will naturally despise you and your family, so you'd have to be utterly mad not to sink every penny you can spare into a monthly payment. Nothing else matters in this life more than looking wealthier than other people. Are investments a better way to go and drive a car I can actually afford rather than being a moronic sheep and driving a car beyond my means just to impress my neighbours.

That's the sort of life affirming answer I was after. Now if I worked this out right for the price of a cup of coffee a day extra I can have S-Line trim...

Spend your money however you want and don't feel the need to either justify your decision to, or gain approval from, strangers on the internet? And how about at the same time appreciate that you should be grown up enough to not be judgmental of other peoples decisions as you know nothing about them or their circumstances?
Probably easier just to start another bhy thread about car finance with a post that makes you look a bit of a cock though?

What a daft question - no-one in their right might uses PCP as an investment vehicle.
If you want to invest your money for growth, then use an ISA or pension.
If you want to drive a brand new car without having to commit a huge chunk of cash on a fast depreciating asset, then get a PCP.
Two completely different scenarios.

Your obvious sarcasm makes it appear that you're suggesting a PCP is the financial equivalent of suicide. Are investments a better way to go and drive a car I can actually afford rather than being a moronic sheep and driving a car beyond my means just to impress my neighbours.

Perhaps if you opened your mind to circumstances other than your own, you'd realise that it works for some people and indeed is necessary for some people.
It's not all about people buying a new white Evoque every 3 years on the never-never
Sink it into a car you can't afford, while taking self-defence lessons so you can effectively dominate your staircase when workshy council estate types turn up at 3am and kick in the door of your mortgage-free detached house (in a road that befits your status as a powerfully built director) for the keys.
what, it's essential to spend 15k on a car they'll never own over three years, over a car they can own and run for a third of that covering as many miles as they want, and still sell it, my wife did this and has the audacity to comment when I go and spend 5k on a bike I don't need, but I have the same car 11yrs.
OP clearly intended this to be a light hearted thread (some parrots already required), so lets play PH car finance thread wk word bingo.
Got a some ticked off already, but I'll add a few of my personal favorites
OP - have you considered the Opportunity Cost of sinking your Capital into a Depreciating Asset like the White Audi's all those horrible Chavs seem to Aspire to?

It's been so overdone though is there really and more amusement to be wrung out of it? There'll be another one along in 5 minutes anyway I'm sure. Got a some ticked off already, but I'll add a few of my personal favorites

I left the board meeting early so I could drop cold hard cash on a new white S-Line with my cringeworthy mis-spaced custom plate.
1st dealership didn't believe me so I turned on my heel, you should have seen their faces half an hour later when I was doing burnouts on their lot!
The lads at the gym weight room (you don't get powerfully built with cardio) were well impressed when I pulled up in it.
How'd I do?
