I’m loving these and I’m thinking about the Cross Country 4wd version to replace my Alltrack in June. About £40 inc. VAT extra per month over the non-CC version:

That's just stunning looking!https://assets.volvocars.com/uk/~/media/united-kin...

You’ll do 2 sets if you drive correctly. As well as 2 services, if fixed life.
So I’d say the contract is worth it
Golf R 5Dr I’ve done just over 26k miles, it’s long life servicing 20k, and I’ve only had to change one set of tyres. The rears still had 4.5mm so I’ve kept them to put back on th3 front when it goes back if any of the current pair are low...some enthusiastic A & B road driving involved. Averaging around 30mpg...goes back in June, will miss it, very capable all rounder. So I’d say the contract is worth it
New tyres every 8/12k all round. Brakes did good. Front pads 30k and 55k (with disc’s)
I'll check if it really is long life (my Amarok has asked for first service at well past 20k as is supposedly is a self assessing intelligent system that factors in everything including how heavy your foot is).
Does the rubber have to be like for like when replacing?

There is not such thing as lust for Estates, I think it is called compromise, because of kids or, like in my case, 60kg dog, her horse riding gear, my kiting gear, SUP board, both of our trekking gear and the list goes on. At that point, 3 door hot hatch stops being fun from every aspect even if it is the most beautiful car on the market..
I didn't realise how cheap the A5 1.4 TFSI S-Tronic deals were. Any one know the lead times for them? I've inquired on a quote and waiting for them to email me back, as it looks so much nicer than my A4 and i am pining for an automatic. I was happy with the SE but looked at a Sport, mainly for the nav.

It’s more the “stunning” i was responding to. Reading this and other forums I think some people do find them attractive in their own right (compromise aside). Whereas I just can’t see it :/
Just got a quote from an Audi dealer. £221 per month 6x initial.
If I ordered today would be looking at June. I have an A4 due back in May. Need to see if vwfs would extend my lease if I ordered another car from them.
I’m just seeing if I can quote dealers off each other. It’s SE spec which is full heated leather, auto, electric hatch lift and close. Has carplay so can use better iPhone sat Nav. I find the Audi one horrendous on my A4 sport

Yeah, my A4 is due back end of April. I really don't want to extend it but most of these great deals are obviously stacking up with orders, so pushing the demand and giving much longer lead times. I suppose it's the only option if i wanted to go for it.If I ordered today would be looking at June. I have an A4 due back in May. Need to see if vwfs would extend my lease if I ordered another car from them.

Bloody nightmare this. I ordered the A4 about this time 2 years and it was just the standard 3 month wait, not 5

Unfortunately I’m all to aware of life forcing you to compromise :/ I’m in a similar position right now. So I’m not knocking anyone’s compromise.

Yeah, I said stunning. I do like estate cars though. If you look at the RS6 - is it co-incidence it was made Estate only with no saloon? I think Volvo, Audi and Jag are the best looking estates around right now - nicer than their saloon counterparts (IMO)It’s more the “stunning” i was responding to. They will extend informally for 3 months same payment and a further 3 months if you give them a VWFS order number If I ordered today would be looking at June. I have an A4 due back in May. Need to see if vwfs would extend my lease if I ordered another car from them.

sheesh.....I've received an email title "FLASH SALE - MONDAY MADNESS"
Nice car with attractive headline figure, but what a disingenuous P.O.S.
It has a £3600 initial monthly, an only 18 month lease, with a measly 7k/yr allowance.
The levels some brokers go to....

I had that mailer from those clowns too. I had nothing but grief when I dealt with them before (fake prices and constantly trying to switch me to something more expensive).sheesh.....I've received an email title "FLASH SALE - MONDAY MADNESS"

Even the mailer is full of nonsense as it state "NO DEPOSIT" right above where it states "£3600 deposit".
Someone should report them to the ASA.

That's £40pm cheaper than that model was in September, although for 8k not 10k so the saving is actually £26. An inmprovement, but if you're on a budget and trim is important than look at the Superbs.http://www.simpsonsskoda.co.uk/pch-offers/kodiaq-s...
