for salary sacrifice scheme at work

SEAT Leon Sport Tourer 1.2TSi 110 SS SE Technology 6

no upfront
maintenance, insurance and tyres covered

36 x 351.22 (gross amount).

Don't know how to evaluate this...
What else can you have?

Is there a cash equivalent offer that you can go PCH a car and get your own insurance?

What would it cost you to insure yourself on that car? £50/month? You can lease a Leon FR for ~£250/month (maintenance maybe allow another £30 for tyres / servicing) - but your offer through work presumably doesn't care about mileage? How far do you drive in a year?
Would need to understand if the Salary Sacrifice means you're paying the rental gross (i.e. before PAYE) and what the BIK liability is before anyone could provide opinion.

£350 is poor value compared to some of the personal leases quoted here, but it's the £net position which matters most. If you're paying tax @40% £350 is only £210 per month, but then you'll have to pay company car tax, not sure what that is on that car.

Hi, for my level I just have the option of the lease.
Made the quotation for 10000 miles a year. Buying the car as probably wife will fave late shifts in her job.
Insurance for me wont be cheap, around 120/0yr for the first year (just arrived in UK, 0 NCB).

Beat me to it. Make sure you're aware of the tax implications, salary sacrifice can work well on certain vehicles. Just make sure you're well aware of what you're signing up to. Also be aware that if you change jobs you'll lose the car, or may have to buy it outright.

Just rang another dealership near me and they also quoted £362, I asked what is going to be carried out for that and she said oil and filter, I said u serious she replied yes it’s because it’s 4 litres of oil and they also they have to do a long inspection on the car...... speechless I just put the phone down

I had an oil service due a couple of weeks ago... Around 14,000 miles.

Costs around £170 ish from Audi Coventy.

However, once driving out of the dealership after the oil service, it says service due in 4,000 miles... Which I presume is a full service...

I'm hoping the car will be gone by then smile

My GolfR was ~£180 which I thought was expensive but it was short notice/ local so didn't mind and gave the car it's third wash, maybe Audi screen wash and oil is more expensive?

Spare a thought for me then. Been quoted £2000 for my 2nd (and final) service before it goes back at the end of March but then again I’ve done approx 31,000 miles and that figure includes 4 new tyres, front brake pads and front brake discs plus the other bits.

I've provided the oil (as advised by the dealership) when I had my A5 serviced at Audi. Keep in mind not all dealerships are fine with this approach but I did save about £80 on the service overall.

Mine's due back end of April. That's pretty expensive. However, it might be to do with the fact that Audi's service intervals are every 2 years or 18k miles, or whatever it is. Also, it might be an oil change along with the service, which does come up on the MMI screen under the servicing bit.

It's still expensive either way. I was gonna book mine in the start of April time.

How many with A4's atm are going for the A5 Sportback deal?

Thanks for the advice guys. The insurance included and the 0 upfront were good arguments for me. Looked at a lot of cars, including cheaper ones. I'll probably look at some PCPs and sheds (I know, I know)....

All,

Looking for some advice.

My lease car goes back in a few weeks. I was told if i return early i can avoid the second service.

does anyone know how 'earl'y this needs to be returned as waiting on my new one may leave me carless for a bit. So thinking of pushing back the 'pick up' a week if i can but concerned about the second service due date.

The first service was done about a week after the 12 month period. So is the second sercice due 1 year from this date or the original reg date.

How pedantic about it are they?

Thanks

If the service is due within the lease period you will be charged. If it's due 1 after the lease period, you wont.

You won't pay company car tax if you are funding the vehicle yourself.

Fisted on an A5 2.0 TDI S-Line Coupe, end of March delivery.

3+23 £299 10k miles, £300 fee.

Maybe not the best, but I've been looking and deliberating for almost a year! Have had my eyes on 4 series, C class or A5 coupes and this is a fair-middling deal I can live with even if something better pops up in the next few months

I was close to going for the 2nd round of the cabs for about £20 less a month, but the thought of the noise inside on long journeys, and the large difference in mpg made me go with the hard top.

I was told by VWFS that even if I send my car back and the car says "1 day to inspection" then I will NOT be charged for a service. Happy days!
