Do you realise it boils down to £13,140 for 3yr/15k of motoring or 88ppm?

It's a long time since I've been a low mileage driver, but that seems quite a lot to me.

edit: BMW 4 series coupe are quite a bit cheaper

Very true indeed smile And a valid point about the BMW. Unfortunately the BMW badge is causing some serious issues when applying for insurance! The merc for me is considerably cheaper. I'll be increase the mileage to prob 6/7k. I'm looking for a coupe before I settle down into family mode and need to switch to a more practical solution.

What are people's thoughts on this please?

Golf R Estate.

8k miles.

3x23 @ £327.88.

£199 fees.

smile
It's actually not too bad. As someone else said, not the best of the deals that were available before Xmas, but given your example is a 3+, it's about £800 different over the term. I got in at what can best be described as the 2nd best deals (those about in the Summer for Autumn delivery), slightly better deals were available the quarter before i ordered, but i wan't quick enough. Mine's a 6+23 at £270 per month inc VAT, same mileage at 8k, but no fees.

The fee hurts, so look at places such as UChoosecontracts, who are usually equally cheap, but when i ordered didn't charge any fees.

How about this? https://www.contracthireandleasing.com/independent...

Similar kind of thing, couple of thousand cheaper, 8000 miles a year.

They are about £27pcm more from an initial look, will check again. Would like to be paying 3 down and £300pcm but seems like I've missed the boat.

My golf r deal signed in april was £256.80 a month and £1540 upfront - no fees as from VW themselves, thats for 10k miles per annum.

So deal posted above is not bad, but not great compared to previous offers.

That sounds about right. If you can drop the fee, that makes a big difference, also when i jumped on these deals, 6+23 was the sweet spot & saved a further £100ish over the term (don't ask me why, just one of those things).

Thanks for the reply and another good suggestion. But my luck with Audi cars is borderline horrific lol. Also personally have test drove one i'm a fan.

I've got my heart set on a Merc Coupe. E class would have been nice but the E220 is under powered for me. Granted my name is not Lewis Hamilton but having a bit of kick is nice. So C Class it is!

Skoda Superb Estate, Sportline, DSG 2.0 TSI
(190 I assume)
1+23 @ £373.82 , £240 fees, 12k miles
6+23 @ £306.40, “ “ “
https://www.purevehicleleasing.co.uk/cars/manufact...

I’m looking for a little bit more go than the cheaper CR 150 Diesel, I think this is decent value, especially for the sportline/mileage.
Anyone got any experience of “pure vehicle leasing” ?
On 8k miles works out 26.5% (~£8.5k) of £32,270rrp (220bhp TSI)
Not all that great I suppose. Better looking car than the Octavia imho, even the VRS. Bit more than I was wanting to spend though.
Update:
New quote of £7899.02 + £298.80 fee (Fleet prices) 10k = 25.4%

6+23 @ £272.38

Amortised ~ £341.57

Currently trying to get some dealers to match total price without fee on a 1+23.

Wish me luck.

Full leather, panoramic glass roof, heated front seats, rear view camera, front & rear parking sensors, sat nav, Bluetooth, alloys.

As a long time lurker, I’d like to say thanks for all the great advice some posters have been providing!

I’m currently looking to pull the trigger on the below.

It’s not the greatest of deals at 28% of the ROTR, but it is the cheapest deal I can find for this particular model (unless anyone else has seen better?)

Volvo XC40 2.0 T3 R Design Pro
Contract Length 24 Months
Initial: £2400.00 inc VAT
Term: 23 Months @ £278.38 inc VAT
Admin Fee: £180.00 inc VAT
Annual Mileage: 5,000
Total over term: £8982.74

List Price £31,655.00

I was scouting around for XC40 deals just before Xmas and Central were the best I could find.

I am keen to get the advice of the regulars here, please. I have been following this thread (and the various historic volumes!) for some time - I want to try and get a VW Golf R 3dr (or 5dr) DSG. Flexible on term, 10k miles a year (though I think 8k would probably be enough). I have found the below deal with

Volkswagen Golf 2.0 TSI 310ps 3dr DSG
Contract Length 24 Months
Initial: £3,164.08 inc VAT
Term: 23 Months @ £351.56 inc VAT
Admin Fee: £295.00 inc VAT
Annual Mileage: 10,000
Total over term: £11,544.96
Extras: Metallic Paint & 19" Pretoria Silver Alloys

List Price £35,705.00

The deal seems a bit steep - I have been looking but most deals are not far off.

Has anyone seen anything at the moment that offers a much better package?

Thanks

£11.5K!

Sweet Jesus that’s terrible.

Would’t pay more than £7-£8K for an R (i’m one of the fortunate ones that have an R Estate for half that offer) on principal.
