Best Lease Car Deals Available? (Vol 5)
Discussion
Anyone need a big, not very fast lowish spec, manual 4x4 SUV in a hurry - with huge boot - maybe to put your dogs in?
There are some deals about on the Skoda Kodiaq, I got all excited, but turns out the deals are on 5 seat only, not the 7 seats.
Have a search on Whatcar leasing and contracthireand leasing.com
Here is the cheapest TDi SE 4x4 with only 3 upfront.
https://www.contracthireandleasing.com/personal/ca...
Not bad for a big diesel 4x4 SUV? Shame the DSG versions also add silly money.
Also worth speaking to Skoda maindealers - I think these are stock cars.
ETA - corrected the upfront qty.

Any deals on a large family barge (looking for decent rear leg room).
Have seen;
Audi A6 TDI Ultra SE Executive for £379.
Volvo S90 Momentum for £398.
Both based on 3+35, 25k a year (75k over term) and personal lease.
Spec wise, keen on getting xenons (or LEDS), heated seats, cruise, climate, rear parking sensors (or cam).
Been into an Audi dealer today and best they can do on the A6 is £421 although they are seeing if it can be dropped to £399 and have immediate availability on a white or black one.
I have seen the Superb SE Executive for about £370 which seems expensive compared to the Audi and Volvo.... if a lot cheaper would consider the Skoda.
Thanks :-)
My last post - around page 180 I think- was recommending several dealers to speak to about Skoda Leases. Have seen;

I've placed an order on a Superb Sport line- 220 TSI DSG Estate - and when I first enquired on a basic car via fleet prices they got down to £330/Month on a 1+23 (10k/year).
But the other dealers were able to remove the (£298.80) fee.
It was similar monthlies over 3 years too should that be your preference (I ended up over 3 to spread the cost of some options).
Sure Simpsons has the same 220 TSI's (DSG Saloon) going for £2490 + 23 x £199, but the other dealers I mentioned were able to beat that.
They should be able to do you the magic '25%' over two years

Is the 'magic 25%', payments of less than 25% of list price over 2 years? Is that with dealer/manufacturer discounts?
Its an entirely arbitrary figure but works for me when sniffing a dealIts easy to compare lease cost versus a PCP as the manufacturers list these on their configurators
Against outright purchase with a discount I ask myself how much would the car cost to finance and then dispose of at the end of the term. The Skoda I mentioned above is a case in point. List is over 38k and so the lease deal is around 24%, but practically if one paid 33k after discount could you sell for 24k after 2y or 19.5k after 3 years?? And thats removing the cost of the finance

I need to purchase 2 new tyres for my
Ford Focus st3. Have spoke to the leasing company and they same they need to be the same grade. In the contract I signed there is no mention of replacement tyres and what they should be. How should I proceed? As they are 19” and I have 5 months before the car goes back.
i am presuming you are referring to being unsure as to what tyres to buy, not that you didn't think you needed to replace the tyres at all....Ford Focus st3. you need to go back and ask them really, as 'grade' is not really an industry term. I'd assume it meant you need to buy equal sort of quality brand e.g. you can't replace P-zeros with Mingebong ditchfinders and then throw they keys at the auction boy.
With VAG (and I would imagine would be the case for most funders) its that the tyre specs (efficiency, wet weather, noise) are at least as good as what was fitted as standard.
MB for example didn't care about brand as long as the same spec in terms of size/load rating. Essentially it just had to meet minimum requirements.
Unfortunately the damn car had run flats, so there weren't any cheap options

Merc are a pain for runflats on some cars as had to be MO stamped so limits the tyres really. MB for example didn't care about brand as long as the same spec in terms of size/load rating. Essentially it just had to meet minimum requirements.

Similarly a lot cheaper than it has been is the Vignale SMax.
These were crackers prices on lease before Christmas but are now listed at 324 on 6x23 with 8k again which undercuts PCP deals calculated using the full broker discount.
https://www.whatcar.com/car-leasing/deals/personal...
Or I could just stop fretting and jump in a V90..........
If you are really considering the s-max then, even at this lower price, it doesn't really make sense to lease. There are several vignale spec cars which are circa 6 months old and which will quite a bit less over 2 or 3 years to run. Personally, unless you need the 7 seats of the s-max, I would be tempted by the V90. It is a lot of car for the money.

Its not a bargain I agree but is significantly cheaper than they have beenPersonally, unless you need the 7 seats of the s-max, I would be tempted by the V90. It is a lot of car for the money.
The Vignale has been on my radar since a pal got one last year and it really is rather lovely, if a tad chintzy
The cheapest 67 plate on Autotrader is 29k and obviously second hand
A new one will cost 9k to lease over 2 years, so would I be able to sell the used Vignale for 20k at the 2y point?
The fact that a brand new one has a GFV of 16k at 2 years suggests Im safer leasing.
Cheers

You can get these direct from Honda dealers so I would probably avoid going the broker route, not sure what the figures work out like but it's surely cheaper over the term:Thoughts on this folks?

Thanks it does, bit cheaper via dealer and more mileage. https://www.whatcar.com/car-leasing/deals/personal...
Prefer Up GTI tbh, but silly money atm, better off buying one imo.

Same dilemma. Test drove the UP GTi at the weekend and I was pleasantly surprised, nice town car. I know the Mrs wouldn't be too pleased with a Jazz, but it's cheap motoring. What to do!Prefer Up GTI tbh, but silly money atm, better off buying one imo.

I was surprised when I got an email from drive the deal and already showed £1500 discount on Up GTI. I guess they make that back from the finance rate.Prefer Up GTI tbh, but silly money atm, better off buying one imo.
Shame as a cheap lease one would have been fun
