You can’t VT a PCH contract, just early termination which will incur fees, usually about 50-55% of remaining monthlies, and mileage is calculated pro-rata smile
Exactly. I terminated 2 months early at 55% and had to pay around £200 for 2000 excess miles. I was fully aware of it and knew I will have to pay. But car was so cheap, there was no point in limiting myself.

is there only a paraffin heater engine version available as yet?
There's AUDI A8 3.0 TFSI 55 Quattro | 340hp but no deals on it at all. No petrol ones on Autotrader or Audi Used ones, so I guess hardly anyone is buying them. All demos must be diesel.
Hardly any dealers are ordering them you mean smile Can't imagine many (if any) of those cars are actually customer ordered cars.
there will be some dealer principal cars there too. I'll be surprised if every franchise dealer isn't actually being forced to take one.
Yep, cost of having a franchise smile If they aren't going to suffer enough pain getting rid, they are often also obliged to tick a significant amount of options.

TBH they usually tick all the options so they stand a chance of actually getting rid of the thing, when they've been forced to take a 'hard to shift' car. If there is manufacturer support on retail cars then dealership demos won't get that; it's an entirely different cost base. So, dealers up and down the country will be taking large gulps over the idea of carrying a new A8 at full up cost less 2% or whatever, when the retail offers make that look incredibly expensive. They'll take a proper bath on them at some point!! Or they'll be hoping some old giffer will wander in wanting to only pay cash and that will be what he drives away in.

I applied for finance for this on Friday - had a call with a consultant today to finalise things and he mentioned the price had changed but by a few pennys. When I actually discussed the price change it was the same upfront payment but with £230 monthly rental inclusive of VAT however a big jump! Supposedly the offer has finished for £170 p/m monthlies.

Would there be any other broker that could potentially match this?

Surely there must be some diktat on options. For example when I was looking at 6GC's they all had ~£12k of options (and not the same ones). Saw similar thing with other "hard to shift @ anywhere near RRP" cars I've been shopping over the years (I'm a fool for new models biggrin ). And given what I usually manage to negotiate, unless they have 40% margin they do take a serious bath on them biggrin Almost makes you want to feel sorry for the poor things, until you remember the kick in the nuts you get when you try to sell one back to them.

Still deals on the M3 / M4 ? Or C63 E63?

Something of that ilk, no Audis.
M3/M4 are still about and likely to get cheaper as production nears its end and the M5 arrives. C63 prices are pretty static with no great deals really(approx £630 per month inc vat). E63 prices are very high (approx £1100 per month) and I wouldn’t expect much change in the next 6 months.

Only "cheap" AMG I saw is A45 at £11,481.60 total for 2 years, Madsheep and a few other companies offer them. Must be going out model, as it's in stock.

Mercedes-Benz A Class Amg Hatchback A45 4Matic Premium 5dr Auto

CLA45 is from £13,010.40 total for 2 years.

I think M4 recent offer wasn't bad but is probably gone.

So my car is going back to Lease Plan at the end of March and is being collected by Manheim.

I currently have three areas of damage outlined below and just below each image I have put the relevant section from the Lease Plan Fair Wear & Tear Guide.

I am just seeking peoples opinions on whether or not your interpretation would mean these are acceptable or not acceptable to help me make the decision whether i should get them repaired before the collection date or not.

Thanks in advance.

1. Windscreen Chip (in B Zone)

Acceptable:
- Stone chipping, provided that they are no larger than 1 cm and not in the A Zone of the windscreen.
Unacceptable:
- Chips or cracks larger than 1 cm
- Chips smaller than 1 cm in the A zone of the windscreen

2. Rear Bumper Chip

Acceptable:
- Chips and scratches up to 10 cm, provided that they can be removed by mechanical polishing
- Scuffs and abrasions up to 2 cm, provided that they can be removed by mechanical polishing
- Dents up to 2 cm, given that there are no more than two dents per panel
Unacceptable:
- Any chips, scratches, scuffs and abrasions, not possible to be removed via mechanical polishing
- Dents, scuffs and abrasions larger than 2 cm

If Manheim is similar to BCA you'll have nothing to worry about I don't think you'll be charged anything. My Scirroco R went back last week and it had been keyed along the side, had numerous stone chips and a badly curbed alloy, total cost £161 it's not worth worrying about.

Nissan Leaf N-Connecta

6+23, £282.16

https://www.rivervaleleasing.co.uk/car-leasing/nis...

Photo's are of the old car but i'm informed this is the new shape Leaf. Cheapest i've seen yet for one of the better spec cars. Top of the range Tekna model is roughly £20pm more.

Getting tempted to take my first step in to the electric world. I wonder if they still install a charger at your home if you're leasing?

And with lease loan we were told if total charges are below £150 then they don’t charge you at all.. was very impressed with them

Mannheim auction rep did the assessment there and then on the drive..

Might be an idea to just give a quick clean and vacuum before they turn u-..

I sent off my order for an Up GTi last night, was a 12 week wait but got an email back today saying VW are now saying 26 weeks!!
Even a 12 week wait would be a pain as my current car goes back in April but 26 weeks is just crazy!

The A45 AMG deal is about ~28% of the RRP, so it is okayish, but not great.

I had my Golf R with LeasePlan.

The assessor who picked it up said it was very clean, but noted a scuffed alloy, and a chip on the windscreen. Both which I agreed with, and expected a small charge for.

When they examined it back at base, they said it had a few stone chips on the front bumper / bonnet aswell. They totted up all damages to £450.

I questioned the report, and said the chips were fair wear and tear. Long story short, they agreed and cancelled all charges.

So, moral is, challenge the report regardless smile

I enquired about one and was told the same, although it was to buy the car. Half a year wait made it a no-go for me!
