Best Lease Car Deals Available? (Vol 5)

Seems an unusual business model to offer the car to the current leaser at an attractive price. This will mean the buyer potentially coming out of the lease market for the next 2-5 years.
I don't think that makes much difference. There's nothing to say you would lease with that company anyway.Take me for example - if I don't get offered a favourable buy price, I will go and buy another car outright anyway.

post how you get on.
I may be interested in the Disco Sport they have on offer for 398 plus 4200 down.
may enquire with this weekend.
They emailed me back saying that they are out of stock so the offer isn’t on anymore. I may be interested in the Disco Sport they have on offer for 398 plus 4200 down.

In regards to Discovery sport I was offered a good deal via car wow from another dealer (Rockar), discovery sport hse black, £5k down and £414 pm. 36 months and 10k miles a year.
Or £387 @6k a year.
I find it amazing the premium folks will pay to get a LR/RR badge on their vehicle, I would rather have an XC60 in every single measureable way than a Disco Sport.
edit to add: unless 7 seats is your thing of course

Suprised they don't instead offer loyalty discounts on leasing the next car to keep them in the brand.
Suppose it's vwfs meeting their own targets rather than looking at best for the VW group.
i am sure they've done more thinking about it than you have, no offence. It's either going to be attractive to the 'flippers' in which case they will be back on the market with money for a deposit on a new lease, or to those who can't afford the deposit on a new lease or for whatever reason just want continuity. It's easy to get a bank loan. That group wouldn't be in the market at that point anyway. Peoples' life circumstances do change over time, it's just another option. If they offer the car an unattractive price then no-one would ever take it up and it would be pointless. At least this way they avoid the auction fees or the lower price it may well go for. Suprised they don't instead offer loyalty discounts on leasing the next car to keep them in the brand.

Sorry, is that meant to be a good deal? Assuming thats inc. VAT, thats pretty much £20k over 3 years!! Assuming this is the 183PS diesel you're talking about, thats a whopping 53% of the broadspeed price...

VWFS seem to be bucking the trend of not allowing the lessee to buy their own vehicle. They've offered the Golf R Estate to me (or friends, family, etc - basically anyone) for £21,190.
I'm not going to buy it, in fact I've just arranged to terminate 1 month early, but it sort of makes a mockery of one of the 'downsides' of PCH in that you could never own the car. I haven't done the maths on this versus 2yr PCP yet, so not sure if it works out better all in. I'd imagine it has been better to lease.
Anyway, sorry for going slightly off topic, but it's interesting for any new VWFS leasers out there that you'll get the option to buy the car at the end.
I think that is as there is no guarantee you can buy the car but with PCP there is. So basically the lease co reserve the right to offer you the car but they will only decide on a case by case basis at the end of the lease - I suppose it would depend on market conditions and potential costs and sale price. You may avoid the damage fees but in reality you are not avoiding excess mileage fees because if you tell them you stuck to the contracted mileage they will charge a higher price for the car, similarly if you own up about the mileage they may reduce the purchase price but then charge the excess mileage.
I had a little play with the vw site yesterday. My lease was for 20k miles, I've only done 12k, the purchase price they offered me on the car with 12k miles was £21,600.If I tell VW the mileage on the car is 20k (what I've already paid for), the purchase price goes down by £1k!
Reckon I could get away with lying about the current mileage?

In that case, what’s your excess mileage charge, and what if you told them it had 30k If I tell VW the mileage on the car is 20k (what I've already paid for), the purchase price goes down by £1k!

Are brokers open to negotiation on lease pricing, or are they fixed prices?
Also, are you permitted to make minor cosmetic changes to a lease car that can be 'put right' at the end of the lease period - e.g. alloy wheel colour change?

Must have been a pricing error as has been removed.
Two of my work colleagues bagged one of those. Great deal for the money. One had to settle for Metallic as the Solid Black/White cars went quickly. They were told that the response was huge and it made it's way on to HotUKDeals. The broker took the deal off the website whilst they were processing the applications for people who moved quickly.
Definitive case of you snooze, you lose.

Just ordered an A4 black edition for delivery in September. My current A1 lease runs out in November but apparently I can ring VWFS and ask for a voluntary termination four to five weeks before I want it terminated, so should be able to switch over to my new car. Has anyone ever done this? How specific can you be when you terminate your contract? I would like there to be as little time as possible between the two cars. Thanks.

If it's a lease you generally can't terminate it early unless you pay your remaining payments.ArsE92 said:

VWFS told me on the phone that once I had paid half the value of the car I could terminate voluntarily - that’s will be in just over 2 months (yes, I now know this was not a good deal!). Anyone else done this before?Toothbrushfence said:

I was looking at buying the 2.0 BiTDI 240 R-Line on PCP and was told a 14 week lead time for that model.
