Been offered this deal through Land Rover, thoughts ?

Range Rover Velar D180 R-Dynamic S

Fuji White
Privacy Glass
Front and Rear Parking sensors
Interactive Driver Display
Panoramic Fixed Sunroof

£599.34 per month 1+47

That’s pretty steep. I’d be looking to PCP for the Velar, especially over 4 years.
I cant seem to find any decent PCP deals, especially as I need a car within 2 weeks, I am looking for stock cars.
Why did you leave it so late?

No isofix in the 3rd row, I’ve got a momentum spec xc90 and it’s a really nice car with all the spec you’d really need apart from maybe reverse camera unless they’ve added that from last years spec. Performance is decent for such a big car, semi autonomous driving is excellent on motorways and interior is quality.
And Volvo app is nice to have to warm up seats when it’s cold!

thanks mate. Waiting on Synergy to get back to me and then will make the decision. 3rd child is still some way off but need to plan for contingencies.

All, despite the relentless need of people on the internet to turn even car leasing in to a dick waving contest/CV review/G8 Summit - can I say thanks a lot for this thread.

I have got my order in of the S6 Black Edition all confirmed. Love my current A6 Black Edition except for power and traction so that should sort it! Cheers for all the tips and jargon busting. thumbup

Looks a good deal, where is this from if you don’t mind mentioning? I’d need higher mileage but may still be cheaper than the used GTI/GTDs I’m looking at!

Cheers.
Contract hire and leasing - there are multiple lease companies.

Could you tell me who you ordered this through? I tried various people yesterday and eventually I callled Audi who said they are no longer accepting orders for the S6 due to the new A6 coming out.

Hi mate, I went with CVL (https://centralukvehicleleasing.co.uk/). I put the form through last week, sorry if the above gave the impression it was yesterday.

That’s categorically not true, car insurance is generally more expensive on a lease as you don’t have a ‘vested interest’ in the vehicle, therefore likely to take more risk than if you ‘owned’ it.
Didn’t make any difference to my premium either (aviva and admiral).
Never made any difference to mine either. I am not sure they think people will take more risk. Particularly as they are insured. They probably would take less risk if they don't have GAP.
My current insurance is with Privilege and they don't even ask if you're the registered keeper or not. It's in the 'assumptions' section that "either you are the owner or the car is owned by a lease company" (paraphrasing)

My Octavia Scout is going back today, was due to be inspected yesterday and they didn't turn up. Wonder how this will pan out. Thankfully it's A1 but will get detailed pics before it leaves here.

Oh, and need a deal tomorrow, Golf R estate preferably, sub £200.....

This is really fking boring and off topic, and all you are doing is pissing people off. Big fleet dealers don't get early sight of consumer/personal deals earlier than smaller 'normal' dealers because that's anti-competitive. I literally couldn't give a st what anyone says on the matter, because if it happens then it's illegal and it just hasn't been whistleblown yet. Would be keen to know which exact dealer the guy works for to be honest.
Large fleet dealers don't just do leasing, they do pure end user fleet business and have a pretty good idea of what they sell most of so will pre order vehicles. If you do lots of taxi/chauffeur business you'll order hundreds of Obsidian Black E220d SE saloon/estates at a time, you'll order Obsidian Black S350d lwb in lumps of thirty-fifty at a time. Mid spec C Class will be ordered by the hundred in various colours with and without premium/premium plus packs, same with A Class as they're your bread and butter. They'll also be taken by rental companies in batches, usually they'll want something quickly. C Class saloon is made in South Africa and takes an age to ship, so you'll constantly be topping up your pipeline stock of those.

Also the last couple of places I've worked at will look at current stock levels and approach the manufacturer and one of the leasing companies they supply to and see look we've got X amount of Y in stock. What support is needed/can be given for a batch deal. If everyone agrees then the deal is put out to market. In most cases the leasing company will agree that the dealer will register all of the vehicles before a set date (usually end of the quarter) if they've been sold or not. 9 times out of 10 all of the cars will be sold, on occasion they won't much like the Mini deal Arval did, they've still got some of those in stock too!

I appreciate that you may have run a dealership, but big fleet can work differently. I for one would hate to be in charge of a big fleet department as they have to forecast (guess!) what will be needed months in advance. My last place got caught a little bit with their pants down with the shift from diesel to petrol happened so quickly. We had lots of diesel A Class in stock, and virtually overnight people wanted petrol. Lots of vehicles on stocking plans can get expensive really quickly if you get it wrong. The likes of Lookers and Sytner Group will have thousand of cars both physical and in pipeline stock as lots of people won't wait. New starter company cars are often the most impatient people around laugh

The above Tiguan deals I posted are cheaper with NVS and they were very good to deal with when I got my Golf though them.
