All, despite the relentless need of people on the internet to turn even car leasing in to a dick waving contest/CV review/G8 Summit - can I say thanks a lot for this thread.
I have got my order in of the S6 Black Edition all confirmed. Love my current A6 Black Edition except for power and traction so that should sort it! Cheers for all the tips and jargon busting.
Could you tell me who you ordered this through? I tried various people yesterday and eventually I callled Audi who said they are no longer accepting orders for the S6 due to the new A6 coming out. I have got my order in of the S6 Black Edition all confirmed. Love my current A6 Black Edition except for power and traction so that should sort it! Cheers for all the tips and jargon busting.

Very good deals but these have been on there for a while and i'm not sure if they're still available. They're stock so i assume they are.

Large fleet dealers don't just do leasing, they do pure end user fleet business and have a pretty good idea of what they sell most of so will pre order vehicles. If you do lots of taxi/chauffeur business you'll order hundreds of Obsidian Black E220d SE saloon/estates at a time, you'll order Obsidian Black S350d lwb in lumps of thirty-fifty at a time. Mid spec C Class will be ordered by the hundred in various colours with and without premium/premium plus packs, same with A Class as they're your bread and butter. They'll also be taken by rental companies in batches, usually they'll want something quickly. C Class saloon is made in South Africa and takes an age to ship, so you'll constantly be topping up your pipeline stock of those.
Also the last couple of places I've worked at will look at current stock levels and approach the manufacturer and one of the leasing companies they supply to and see look we've got X amount of Y in stock. What support is needed/can be given for a batch deal. If everyone agrees then the deal is put out to market. In most cases the leasing company will agree that the dealer will register all of the vehicles before a set date (usually end of the quarter) if they've been sold or not. 9 times out of 10 all of the cars will be sold, on occasion they won't much like the Mini deal Arval did, they've still got some of those in stock too!
I appreciate that you may have run a dealership, but big fleet can work differently. I for one would hate to be in charge of a big fleet department as they have to forecast (guess!) what will be needed months in advance. My last place got caught a little bit with their pants down with the shift from diesel to petrol happened so quickly. We had lots of diesel A Class in stock, and virtually overnight people wanted petrol. Lots of vehicles on stocking plans can get expensive really quickly if you get it wrong. The likes of Lookers and Sytner Group will have thousand of cars both physical and in pipeline stock as lots of people won't wait. New starter company cars are often the most impatient people around

I'm looking for a new lease, currently own an E91 320d M Sport touring but it's manual and my annual mileage has gone through the roof with commuting. It's 60 miles each way but thankfully an hour on average, so manageable.
Mileage allowance needs to be 36k and something big, auto, diesel and economical.
I'm using my car allowance so don't want to spank too much money. The best deal I have found so far is:
Skoda Superb Sportline DSG estate. Met grey or silver, otherwise standard.
2.4k down 35 x 405.
It's in budget, spec looks fine and it seems cheap, given the issue I have with mileage.
I'm struggling to better it in reality, unless anyone has any ideas

A Golf GTD DSG or a Volvo S90 Momentum auto are the only other things I can see at that mileage for £400 on a 6+36.Mileage allowance needs to be 36k and something big, auto, diesel and economical.

I looked at them last week and checked some offers and reviews. Might be worth checking availability, there was more offers last week.
We went to look at a couple on Monday. The exhaust sound is amazing, for a 1.4 it's bark is definitely worse than it's bite. I think they look better in the standard metallic black too which is the no cost colour.
A lot of car for the money and very nice inside.
Just not sure SWMBO is that keen unfortunately. Especially with the decent* deals on the 595, 208 GTI by Peugeot Sport and Polo GTI at the moment - I think a more sensible car may win out.
- By decent I mean cheaper than the Abarth 124

It seems like a lot of money, but then again at the mileage you're doing it's probably still not a bad option. If you go and buy a nearly new, you willd estroy the value of it anyway. If you buy 5-7 years old, you'll destory what value is left, but also could be forking out a huge amount as bits start needing replacing, so at least this way its hassle free and consistent. Is ther anyway to increase Warranty to 100k miles?Mileage allowance needs to be 36k and something big, auto, diesel and economical.

For almost 17k over 3 years, that seems expensive. The best deal I have found so far is:

What if your circumstances change - will you definitely be doing 36kmiles/year for the next three years? Equally, you could take a lower mileage lease and pay the excess - BUT excess miles can get very expensive, they're sometimes limited to a certain number of miles and then quite punitive.
I'd definitely consider buying. A 20k loan over 3 years from a bank might cost you 1k in interest (3.3% over 3 years), but must get you near to the purchase price of a new/ lightly used octavia / superb estate (23/26k respectively new?). Admittedly, selling it becomes your problem, but you can do what you like with it in the meantime as it's your car.

Have you thought about Electric? At those miles you're spending about £250 a month on fuel plus a lot on maintenance (service, oil, brakes etc).Mileage allowance needs to be 36k and something big, auto, diesel and economical.

An i3 range extender is £500 a month on similar terms, not a great deal either but probably works out cheaper than the Octavia and it's a very nice car. It's what I did when I had a similar commute

Plus £300 admin fee, still works out about 21.9% so decent. Alternativley you can save £1500 over the 2 years if you go for the ordinary non-Abarth 124 if that fits anyone's fancy. Slightly less better value and obviously doesn't look or sound an nice but performance still isn't far off. We need to have a look at new/nearly new prices though cause the rate they are losing value (£10k off list in 2 years with 10k miles) suggests there could be deals to be had, especially on nearly new.
But my heart really thinks a 595 or 124 will be so much more fun.
